Thread: Suggestions for scanning pages from antique books? | Forum: Photoshop
Are you sure that the tan is exaggerated? I have 5.5 also and I don't have the color ajustment set correctly. This generally makes the colors in the images I view in Photoshop darker and more saturated. Try opening it in a different image viewer and see if it looks better.
Thread: Texture mapping Poser in Bryce 4 | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Use .obj when you export. It will be larger, but it will be smooth from the start and the texture maps will fit.
Thread: A name needed for the Poser 3/4 standard male? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Not all the way to the bank: They paid him in stock that went through the floor. On "Dorkage": In the U.S. of A. we are far more foul than that. Besides, dork does not have that strong a definition. An idiot is about the extent of today's meaning. Ackbar

Thread: Ideas on Non-poseable 'fabric' prop? | Forum: Bryce
I am assuming that you are not doing an animation? If you are not I would suggest that you try to put the cloth in afterwards using Photoshop or some other image editor. Ackbar
Thread: how can you make an object apear then disapear in an animation? | Forum: Bryce
If I understand animation correctly, doing it exactly as Tempest said would cause the object to fade in and out over the course of the animation. To make it happen instantly you would have to have it transparent at the beginning, and then non-transparent the very next frame. Do the same thing in reverse and you should be ok. Ackbar

Blacksteel, do you have any more information on that technique? I just might be willing to try it. Ackbar
Thread: Poser Into Bryce | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Well, I had that problem too. The way I got around it was to import them through .obj and just select the figure out of the clothing and apply the texture that way. I don't have Vitoria, so I wouldn't know...
Thread: Blur | Forum: Bryce
If you want a blur in the background like a photograph, you probably don't want to use the motion blur (unless the main object is supposed to be moving). Do like the above people say, but use the Gaussian blur. Ackbar
Thread: Poser/Bryce Texture Distortion | Forum: Bryce
Yep, that worked! I had to use an angle slightly higher than the default one, but it got rid of almost all the distortion. I am now a fan of the smooth tool. :-) Ackbar
Thread: Poser/Bryce Texture Distortion | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I completely eliminated the light that was showing the other side, and then focused on the side lit by natural sunlight. The distortion was still there. In fact, all the major joints on the figure had some rate of damage. The setup I am using is very simple: Nude Poser 4 woman in default pose exported in .obj format. Imported into Bryce 4 and the director's camera rotated to view to appropriate area. Nothing else was changed. Ackbar
Thread: Poser/Bryce Texture Distortion | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I don't think that it has to do with scaling or smoothing, because the same thing occurs when I apply a uniform texture. One thing I haven't tried is the possibility of lights interfering. There is a light very close to this figure's right side, and that side is damaged. Could the light have caused the distortion? The side exposed to the sun only is unaltered. Ackbar
Thread: Poser4 to bryce3 | Forum: Bryce
Some of you have managed to make it work, so I would like to ask you a question about texturing. When I import Poser 4 models into Bryce 4, the texture gets messed up (you can see an exaple in the poser forum). Have any of you ever run into this problem? Ackbar
