hey i just read through the post and i think you are all right, i personally use poser to generate better conversion skills and to train myself in moving rigs within mesh but think obout it, what is art trully good for? why do we all do it? art stirrs your soul no matter what ppl say wheather its misunderstood or neither benificery to them or anyone else. art is here because ppl have passion to say and create what ever they please, if we dont look at painting art but other forms once gullivers travels was sattire now its read to ppls childeren, michelangelo painted the sisteen chapel 3 times (i think) now if that doesnt make a example then what does. all im trying to say is that by arguing and fighting you are all proving yourselfs as artists not just through your work but through your soul and passion for the subject. cant we all just get along and at least agree on one thing.... we care enough to fight for our work IRRIGARDLESS of what medium. ps happy rendering = P

Thread: What do I export the object as to get it in poser? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
i agree with les bently but there is a better format then obj as i have recently done the same...obj is good for untextured objects but if you need a uv map then i imported into poser with a 3ds file that brings the textures with it...exported into something like uvmapper classic / pro got the map then loaded up the obj files again into poser. another good tip to stop poser rounding the edges off on undesired facets is to 'explode' the object (if using max) and this will stop it happening. hope this helps. ps a good scaling tool for the transposition is objaction scaller, sorry but i havent got a link to the file. regards british_rob.

im sure that you can distribute the mesh if you used v3 m3 or any other mesh like that as a visual ref and only that. im a little rusty on copyright law but i think you gotta change the mesh 75% from the normal b4 the product becomes yours to distribute. anything less and it could be court action against you, as for the programs i cant help with those sorry bout that but thats the law for copyright i think. i wouldnt quote it but it might hold you in good stead to check up and maybe use that info as a rough guide. hope this helps british_rob
