I have a question. Community question even. Why is it, that the gay community fights like mad to get the world to STOP defining them as "gay", or by their sexual preference, but yet, it is the very essence of your sexuality that you base all your arguements. I have a number of gay friends. Guys and Gals. They are not my friends BECAUSE they are gay. I don't avoid them because they are gay. We don't discuss their "gayness" at dinner. We don't shop at "gay" stores for them and then "straight" stores for me. Their isn't a Heterosexual Pride Day. Fair is fair, I wanna run around letting everyone know I'm straight and married a guy and like him for being a him. It is irrelevant what or who you like to screw. And you seem hungry for the world or society to treat you in that way, yet their ya go with Pride Day. (When did it get shortened, by the way, from Gay Pride Day?) Seriously. I'm not trying to be a jerk here, but I haven't gotten an answer from any of my friends that helps me understand this issue. And before anyone screams gaybashing, let it be known that I support gay marriages et al. Human Civil Rights are just that; HUMAN. But until your lawyers stop argueing about sexual preferences and get to the bone of the steak on the matter...... just my 2 cents on Pride Day.

Ah! Ken Brilliant work. Good stuff maynard.....he's been using ZBrush for sometime. It's saved me some time in generating a nice starter mesh to import into Carrara, texture, render, etc.

Kurka, I've been using the treemaker quite a bit. I just recently completed a packaging contract that relied on the treemaker: http://www.visionized.com/serviceimages/106.aspx IMHO, it's just great. I've barely scratched the surface on the capabilities, but from the time I've worked in/with it, I give the functions, useability, output, and interface a 9 out of 10. I'd give it a 10 if they had documentation on the advanced settings window. ;)

XENO wins the argument by default. His HTML skills are superior. The colors and italics alone override thought and debate. Can't we all just get along?

#10.....LOL......I second that. I'd just add to the conversation, two points. 1) V3/V4/V10? are BORING BORING BORING non art. Titillating? maybe Boring? Absolutely. The banner ads and their content have been debated ad nauseum. It's not going to change. I approach the whole as I did my kids's noise levels back when they were young. I just block the chatter out, and move on. And let's not forget Michael, and his penis dial. There are some raunchy Michael spreads in here as well. 2) Is Poser really modeling, or is it just legolike compositing in 3D? I think the poser people have alot of skill in postworking though. I'd have to agree with falconperigot, SQL (properly handled) CAN allow visitor's to setup their own viewing preferences. IF rosity wanted to offer that ability. They should rewrite Rosity in .NET. ;) But I love the Carrara Forum! Indespensible.

I'm a HUGE fan of the batch mechanism now. Florida Progressive stepped up and blew the transformer again! And yes, I had enough time to pause this out, and power down. Jumped back into it a couple of minutes ago smooth as silk.

Outstanding thread. Thanks to everyone! gigashadow: I knew about the batch render....I suppose the term "batch" through me off the path, considering I am not rendering a "batch" of graphics. I was rendering one piece, hence not investigating an option labeled for another event(s). But suffice it to say, I've given it a go, and although the lights haven't gone out to prove the point, it obviously does solve my personal puzzle. 8)
