I've learned since the library can be reset without closing the whole program. I was mystified at the time, didn't know what was going on. Once you know about it, it's not a big deal.
Thread: Poser 12 LaFemme textures | Forum: Poser 12
I submitted a tech request that I found a few minutes ago in a spam folder on the email server. They said the same thing. I should have looked there first. Victoria 5 is basic unless you buy add-ons also. A lot of the lingo gets confusing sometimes like "pro version", you're talking about the figure not Poser 12, "pro", I don't want to even get going about the confusing Genesis line with cross compatibility, I asked sales if they had a chart or something detailing all the features of each Genesis figure, stock without being altered because some artists can do amazing things that almost turn them into to a whole new figure. I'll get the "pro version" of LaFemme and LaHomme, the characters, not the software program as I've read there is no "pro version" it's just Poser 12 however buying the character textures that will match seamlessly with the originals already in Poser 12 for them is kind of like a "pro" version upgrade if you think about it. Thanks for the help.

Got Poser fixed again, downloaded from the link posted on this thread and after pasting my original serial number from the earlier version I must have downloaded with the old Smith Micro download manager.

The old serial number doesn't work. What will? I have no documentation other than the original. There is no clear Poser site anymore, all the web pages in the program are dead links.
I had it fixed even, updated and it lost my new serial number. What did I do to fix it last time, I can't remember.

Not so much the prop itself that confused me as much as the add-ons that go to to it.
SAV Alpha Moikanaki Hair, Add-on for Alpha hair.
I take it that Moikanaki Hair and Alpha hair are two different skull caps?

I moved everything over to a removable drive and things seem to work alright.
It was my back-up drive and I never thought about moving everything to it because it seems like to me years ago Poser 5 wouldn't work that way.
It never crossed my mind until you said something, thank you.
I even have Daz Studio working.

WandW,
You said you have both Poser and Daz on your D: Drive. Are you talking about a second hard disk or a removable drive?

Poser works fine in the same environment. I can save scene files virtually anywhere and has no problem interacting with them on the same drive.
With Daz Studio I not only have to deal with a different file system, but when I save scene files it can't read them when I try to open them later. I always get that error (can't find such and such file)Â Â it's there!
The installation of DSON did little more than cause another irritating error message everytime I started Poser (both 9 and 10). Never resolved it.
I didn't buy Poser 10 to learn how to make Daz Studio work or to arrange my files in such a way as to make it possible. It's just pathetic and frustrating to me.
I expect Daz's creators to write programs that just work like they're supposed to with the OS, well, like Poser does. Nuff said.
Daz is trying to sell hundreds and hundreds of dollars worth of content and they better make it easier for me to use or I refuse to buy it. That simple!
Why would I even buy content for a software program that doesn't work properly in my OS environment?
For the kind of money they want for their stuff, I don't think that's asking too much, do you?

Thread: Victoria 5 native to Poser | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I never did get Dson or Daz Studio to work properly. Problem I think revolved around Windows 7 file security blocking files. I waded through a pile of error codes to come to that conclusion.Â
I thought maybe there might be a less functional version of the V5 and M5 available with more Poser native morphs, kind of like V4.2.
If something ever becomes available and I could aviod Daz Studio and Dson, I might be willing to expand my Daz charcter collection again, key word might, but I can't see jumping through a thousand hoops just so I can use their stuff. I know it's been easier for others to get their programs to work and I'm glad for them, really I am, however, it does me no good whatsoever.
Thanks for the info.
Thread: Daz Studio 4.6.18 will not run | Forum: DAZ|Studio
Got Daz Studio to work.
Gave Administrator full permission
Gave Trusted Installer full permission
in program files (x86) where I installed DS4.6,,,, after I took ownership first.
For some reason I can't paste links through firefox on this forum or I'd post a link showing you how to own the files in Windows 7.
If you want the link go to the Daz forum link I manually typed in on an earlier post and look at my last post there. Easy instruction on how to do it there.
The problem Windows file permissions.

This is another thread at Daz forums to keep you up to date on what I've already done.
This thing is being a bugger to fix. I've been working on it for hours and hours to get it to work already. Right now it's still broken.

I have a NVidia Geforce GT 240 graphics card.
The driver did need updating even though Windows said it was up to date, but after updating to the latest driver, complete with a restart I still got the same error 0xc000007b.
It was a good idea anyways that I hadn't done yet.

Been a whilke since I posted but I gotta vent a little about Victoria 5 and the direction Daz took with their latest figure.
What were they thinking?
There are numerous new figures out on the market (some free even) and for Daz to make Victoria 5 only native in Daz Studio? What????
Yes, yes I tried Daz Studio 1-2-3-4-Pro, but the later versions weren't that stable for my computer and I don't have time to wait for them to fix all the bugs. I bailed on D/S it wasn't worth the money they wanted and they upgraded it far too often when they did it wasn't a solid program.
I've pretty much flushed Daz, said goodbye to Victoria after 4.2 and I've been Daz free ever since.
I am not going to depend on any add on programs to use Daz figures, NOT GOING TO HAPPEN FOLKS.
Even if it's free for a limited time. I'm weening myself away from Daz.
I just want stuff that works when I load it in my Poser 9 runtime and when I surf a Poser site I want it to be straight forward and no nonsense. The Daz site is stupid too.
I feel better now, bye. I'm not even notifying if there is a reply.
Thread: DS VS Poser | Forum: DAZ|Studio
Seems like to me by the time you buy all the plugins for DS these days you could have bought a better more stable program in Poser 8 and saved yourself a lot of agrivation and money.
I don't really care about Genesis
