Found it flipped it, and playing around right now. So far, no crashing, but so far I haven't tried anything major, but I'll let you know. Right now I'm having too much fun with the lights and the whole AO deal. grins P6 let's me play with already created characters it seems; it has no problem loading any of my old complete pz3s. It just crashes when I try to build a character. Maybe I have to keep P4 around to build them and then just use them in P6. Maybe P4 is just crashing P6 to postpone it's retirement. Not sure. Anyway, I'm gonna go test the whole, building a character theory. And thanks so much for all the help! ~Jade
Thread: The amazing invisible poser 6 cursor... OF DOOM!!!! | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Lol, it was saved under a new name. And in a different folder. And new folder I made specifically for my p6 pz3s. But as I went to my other folders to see if I could get her out of one of the older pz3s those were all converted over too. I have no idea how poser 6 accomplished such a task, lol, and as much as I should be really upset about this, I'm oddly not. Maybe I'm in shock, lol. But that's just it, the converted files open in p6, just not p4, which I need them to open in so I can edit them considering everything I edit in p6 likes to up and die. I explained it to a friend who is a non-poser user by telling them I had a program that thought it was a cult and converted all influenceable files to it's evil ways. Lol, I just wish p6 wouldn't crash all the flippin time. Then I'd have no problem. I was gonna trash p4 later on anyway. It just seems this will now be sooner rather than later...
Thread: P6, the flood, and UPS | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Lol, I'm in the same area, I recieved mine today too! My UPS delivery lady is just the coolest woman ever.
I'm on the alabama/florida line of the Gulf of Mexico, and heavens... The entire road to work was flooded out almost entirely and I have two ways of getting to the main road from my house. Well today I only had one. And yes, I made it to work thinking 'oh, it won't be so bad'. 10 straight feet of at least 6 inches of water is not fun to drive a a small car through! wide eyed nod

Thread: Writing RPG's anyone? | Forum: Writers
Just post an open post, somewhere in there another player's character will talk to yours. I always make sure there's a way I can talk to the other players out of the RPG, instant messaging is a good idea, that way you can talk out the plots before you run them. It cuts down some of the plot confusion.

lol, yeah, it is a bit detailed, but it's not as hard as I'm sure it seems. It's pretty much just pick an animal, grab it's attributes (good and bad) place them on a human and combine the look, then type out their personality. Lol, that's what I did and I wrote the thing, so I hope no one goes 'too' overboard with it. ~Jade

Well, the way it's initially described in one sentence is, "A modern day RPG with a twist of the wild" It's based on a simple plot, the character creation makes it more difficult. About 32 yrs prior to the storyline an enviromental group developed a chemical that combines animal dna with that of humans who come in contact with it. They planned it to go further than it had, letting the animal take them over. But it failed, instead only combining the human with about 10-15% of the animal's dna. I went into great detail in the forum if you check the character information forum for the post titled 'the list'. This tell how the animals and humans combined and all the nifty little details. Of course a lot of the action comes from the fact the change wasn't well recieved and people are out to rid the world of these 'half breeds'. We're working on the details of the science center, which currently does horrible tests on both half breeds and people who came in contact with the chemical and didn't change. lol, I think that's a good short explanation. If you have questions, just ask. smiles ~Jade

Lol, yeah, flexibility is hard, especially when you're dead set on your character's reaction to something and then that something doesn't happen, or happens another way. Sometimes it works out even better though, so I can't complain. I miss Kirainelle and I'm hoping the creator gets back into it soon. We went on hiatus for like a year before we picked back up and then three months into it again, she gets writer's block. Sooo... :*( That's another thing that's hard. When someone just stops posting and everything dies. It's like you write these really great characters whom you've fallen in love with and then you just have to let them go and not because you're tired of them, but because you have no where to put them. Before I never could understand why people wrote so many of the same characters in different RPG's. I now know and suffer the same fate. snuggles M'jora and now, Kathy too Anyways, ok, the linkage. http://www.icdesignz.ca/rpg/ So far Krish, Kris, and myself are the only ones playing, but we welcome anyone. smiles ~Jade~

Creeping fingers touch my shoulder. I turn to see nothing. Around me the cold chill whispers, breaking through my peace of mind. I can't stay still, rubbing my arms for comfort. Around me the wind starts screaming. A voice like death follows. I really can't stay anymore. So I run. --------------------- That was lots of fun, lol. Thanks for posting this! ~Jade
Thread: My Stance on Poser 5 | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Actually, I'm gonna go with Greybro on this one. Don't instal it. Simple as that. I'm debating unistalling and waiting for the patches myself. It's a really nice program, but it needs some serious help. I was all for it the first 2 days I had it, but it was a touch-and-go two days. Now that I've worked with it, had it crash on me, found out the hair room isn't all it's cracked up to be, ect, I just find it too aggrivating to open anymore. I opened P4 yesterday and it was like finding a long lost friend. I dream of the day I can do that with P5. It just isn't today...
Thread: Fried Hair | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Blargh, same deal here. I've been wanting to do long hair, but it always goes through the shoulders. And I get the same fried results with collision detection. Considering that the hair room was the only reason I got poser 5, it's becoming really inconvient really fast. I'd like to see a fix for this, but considering how CL is tied down with multiple other bugs, I don't think it'd be in the near future.
Thread: I was wondering if Poser 4 will be really extinct? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Lol, just had to add my 2 cents. Poser 4 will be staying on my hard drive for a long time, if not forever. I'm completely happy with Poser 5, really. Although the render time does tug on my nerves a bit... Anyways, the only complaint I have (and feel free to correct me if I'm wrong), but where oh where have the little dials gone...
I get Stephy's face in there, get to the morph putty tool box going, try to move the dials, and bammo, nothing. it ends up I've got to actually double click the little face morphs and then type in a number. I dunno about you, but I miss the dials and instant gratification when you randomly spun it and found something beautiful, lol. But hey, that's just me. :) But I guess I'll just do the morphs on P4 and the hair in P5. Oh yes, I'm loving that hair...
