I did misspeak. I was of course referring to rounding the edges of a box. I found that in Poser6 this can be done, to some extent, if you change the crease angle to 100% under Smooth polygons in the objects properties tab, after reimporting the box with the vertices welded. Somehow, when applying this to furniture, as Dr. Geep did in the tutorial, it dosn't work quite as well as in his tutorial, which might have applied to Poser4. He has an interesting web site at DrGeep.com. I do work with Anim8or but I'm not that interested in doing it perfectly. Actually, I'm getting a headache from all this and wonder what the hell all of us did before Poser came along... watch the depressing news (the Bush follies!).
Thanks to all of you for your suggestions.

Thread: Shadow rendering over a background pic in P6 | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
There is a new download freebie in the poser section here entitled P5 Ajrarns Shadow Catcher. It is a prop for P5. Ajrarn says P6 has it's own shadow catcher, and I supposed he's talking about the Material Room wacro "set up shadow catcher". I'm trying to figure out how the thing works. I want a figure-character, not a prop, to cast a natural looking shadow on a background pic. Can't seem to figure it out. Rendering over a background picture in Firefly dosn't do it either. Thanks.

Thank you all very much. Outpost.com has it. My problem is that I want to use Wardrobe Wizzard. I have heard so many conflicting opinions on the speed of Poser 6 renderings that I hesitate to get it. Lately. however, the favorable ratings seem to be clearly in the majority. So I'll try Poser 6. K.M.B.

I found the problem by searching other messages on the same subject in the forum. You don't go into the Select Subset box when saving the prop back to the library, contrary to what would seem logical! Somehow, that disconnects the prop from the parent. Thanks for your help. I've got it now.

Yes, as I mentioned, I have done everything according to the users guide in terms of parenting. Even turned off the kinetics for the lower extremity parenting of props. After I parent a prop it does turn with the figure, etc. It seems to be parented to the character's part. I just can't get the smart prop dialog box to appear when I try to save the prop. Thanks.

Thanks to all. I got Anim8or and it works great. Do have a problem with pp2 props assuming the same spatial orientation after the prop has been modeled and returned as a morph target to poser. Will try the Modeling forum for that one. K.B.
