Aha - thanks guys :) Coldrake's solution worked perfectly for me - kept getting corrupt saves until I disabled the binary morph targets! Now I'm up and running again!
Thread: anyone else hate the Advanced Function Editor? | Forum: Vue
I'm still a newcomer to Vue (I'm using Vue 5 Esprit) and learning new ways to do things with each new image I do - and yes I think the function editor does look a bit daunting (to put it mildly)
........but I'm actually pleased to have a lot of additional functionality waiting there to be explored.
I learn slowly lol - so it should keep me busy for some time!
I think some more walk simple walk through material making tutorials would have been useful to at least give everyone a start.
But as it is - I am at least having a lot of fun trying to figure this all out :)

Another stunning package and presentation Chris and Tim! You always produce such distinctive characters and I look forward to seeing Lainey in images everywhere very very soon! Good luck with her :o)
Thread: Out of memory in Poser 6 no longer funny (RANT) | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Have any of you tried the fix posted at Curious Labs? The suggestion is to turn down hardware acceleration by a setting or two! I've tried this but have not had much Poser time since so I can't be certain whether it's worked! Fingers crossed - Curious Labs describes this as a suprisingly simple fix if I remember correctly and if it works it certainly is!!! The fix can be found on Curious Labs Poser 6 support page (it's about the only thing on there)

Well no luck with changing the no of cached renders stored but I may have found a solution! Curious Labs has a fix for a problem that sounds very similar to the one I was experiencing - I have simply turned down the level of hardware acceleration on my machine (which had been set to full) So far so good! Hopefully this will do the trick!

Thread: Which of you have ever used any of the Poser standard poses? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Just to go off on a tangent a little whilst on the subject of Poses. Another reason I find that making my own poses works for me is that I can keep the joint bend parameters within realistic limits of movement. I know that Poser allows each joint to articulate in bend, twist and sided-to-side but have you ever tried bending your knee side to side? or twisting your fingers for that matter? I've been disappointed to find that purchased sets don't always bear these things in mind and whilst they look good from one angle - they don't stand up to being rotated or seen from another POV than the one the designer had in mind! I'd be interested in seeing more anatomically correct pose sets in the marketplace - especially hands!
Thread: Which of you have ever used any of the Poser standard poses? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I like to make my own poses but I prefer to start from something other than the zero pose most times if I can! If I stick to pre-mades I can never find just what I'm looking for for a particular image! So I'd say the Poser Poses are just as good as any and at least you dont have to pay extra for them! The hand poses are quite good too - I find I use them almost all the time! But my advice is to save your own poses as you create or tweak them - pretty soon you'll have a fine selection of your own to choose from that's more in keeping with your own style!
Thread: Anyone seen my e-bots? | Forum: Community Center
I think all of mine have now arrived - although for whatever reason some took 72 hours to turn up!
This was the first time anything like this happened to me in such numbers - so it was hugely frustrating at the time but hopefully it will just have been a one-off.

LOL - well thanks Clint - still got heaps missing (puzzled) Still it's Friday night - perhaps they're out on the razz :o)
Thread: An honest question | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I think we all know what the right answer is to this one! Products bought from Renderosity expressly state within the accompanying licence that the product remains the property of it's creator and that what you are paying for as a purchaser is the right to download and use that product in your own artwork but not to sell that right on to someone else! Let's not forget that for the most part these products are only very cheap in the first place! LOL! I often buy products that I only use for just a single image and never use again - if I sold it on once I had used it, in theory the whole community could soon be provided with the product with only one original sale being made by the creator! This would be little different to the way P2P operates in the long run. As an additional point, I don't think most merchants are exactly rolling in cash made from their sales (I know I'm not LOL) and I certainly don't begrudge them the payments they are due.
Thread: Changes in Site Navigation | Forum: Community Center
I've been having to use the back arrow to get back to the gallery too - of course the drawback to this method is that it doesn't automatically refresh the page in the way the "back to gallery" button does so you have to do that as well or you'll just get the original number of hits and comments displayed until you leave the gallery page! Not an improvement at all - I hope it's a temporary glitch
Thread: Out with the old In with the new -Shalea for V3 | Forum: MarketPlace Showcase
I have been lucky enough to try out these new Shalea textures already! The original was an instant favourite of mine from the time that I started here with her distinctive morphs and character! These new textures though are a massive improvement over the originals - with a level of photo realism that I have scarcely seen before! I would recommend this new version to everyone!
