I'm sure I can't be the first person to bring this up but the voting system in the galleries seems to be a bit less informative than it might be (considering that the votes are obviously registered and counted)! Until recently I've been adding favourite images merrily to my favourites list but now the list is getting long and I'd prefer to use VOTING to express my appreciation of a great image! However if I do this I then have to pop along to the Top 20 list where I can only see the most recently voted and most popular images over a short time span! My pics have (as far as I am aware) never appeared in the list and probably never will BUT is there some way that we could all be notified of VOTES received for our images via e-bot perhaps in the same way that we receive gallery comment notifications, etc? I cant believe this hasn't been thought of before but I thought I would raise the question anyway!

This has been brought up before, and I'm under the impression that they're working on it. Not sure what the hold-up is...but it's definitely been stuffed into the suggestion box before. It would be a nice feature for those of us who never see the hot 20. :)

Steve, your vote on a picture will only count towards that picture making it into the Hot20 for 7 days, after that, it is gone. So, its not really a substitution for "Favorite Images" list. And, only that one time you vote for that picture is counted, any repeat votes on the same picture are void. (but, you could, after 7 days, go back and vote again for that same pic and have it count) Also, in whichever Hot20 you are voting for, take note of how many votes a picture needs to even appear at the #20 position. It may take 7 votes. (from different members) But, yes we have received such requests before, and I'm sure the Admin team along with our site techs are sorting it out to how easily it could be done, and when/if it could, etc. (Along with an e-bot notification to any member who's pic does appear in the Hot20 - so they will know it's in there) AgentSmith Mod

The only time I can tell if someone voted on my immages is if they actually say something like vote in the comments they make on my images. I've never worried about getting on the top 20 in anycase but I was assuming that that was the only notification method available.
