Skiwillgee 3 pts. ICM 2 pts. drawbridgep 1 pt. I learned a lot on this one, especially that a good idea poorly executed is NOT a good idea. Great work everyone!

I would like to step up and sound really stupid here. When you say voting takes place in the "challenge pages".....where are they? I found the challenge arena, that didn't seem to be the place, and fractal challenges...but no page that allowed us to vote by bringing up the full page image.
Thanks!

Thread: brick textures vs. the newbie | Forum: Bryce
OK thanks...I can't find world cubic and object cubic on the menu, I use Bryce 4 and I wonder if that's Bryce 5 specific? Anyway, I changed the setting to World Space and that gave me the pattern, then I changed the frequency and got the size of bricks I wanted. Thanks all and thanks for the tip about reversing the grayscale or changing the bump to get the mortar right!

OK thanks I'll try the object cubic and world cubic suggestions. I did scale in the texture editor but all I got was more rep's of the same brick pattern, no mortar or divisions.

Thanks Angela, Zhann's tutorial looks like a great start. I'll check into the others as well!
