You can change that of course. Select the dress and in the top menue click on "Object --> change parent" - change that to "universe", than click on "ok". That should solve your problem :)
After that you can save the changed clothing item with a new name into your prop library and it will save as a non-parented prop.

You can also have a look at the readme if you are not sure if a clothing item is a prop (dynamic - cloth room) or conforming.
You can find the readme on the product site:
If you see items with the ".pp2" in the readme - those are dynamic clothes or props (shoes / jewellery or something like that)
If you see items with the ".cr2" in the readme - those are conforming clothes

About 50 runtimes or so and 1 empty runtime for testing my own products and also for testing sets I download from the freestuff to see if everything works fine, before it goes in the runtime it belongs to.

Yes, I thought so too and I really love the harem pants. So I just made them for this render ;) But I changed the style a bit and now it's working, but the set is not finished yet and it looks different now.
