good one, dr. geep, I also had to look for dollars props a while ago when I was looking for a strip club set as well... the one I'm using is called Fashion Stage, I don't know if it's a freebie here, but I'm sure it's for free wherever it;s available. I thinks it's actually at 3d commune. It doesn't have a pole, but that's easy to fix with a simple cilinder prop.

ok, I see what you mean... I thought you were asking for the materials name... I don't think i have that much knowledge as to know polygon positioning on uvmapper, so I'm afraid I can't help with that... but if you do need the material names (Leye, Reye, Eyewhite) etc, please just let me know.

yes, that's what i wanted to know.. I have Poser 4 PP, so as you know, it doesn't use the .bum file extension anymore, but it's been bumping stuff anyway, specially on clothing, just not on the blessed street sign.. I'll keep on trying, though. thanks as always!

that was not what I was asking... I always check "use bumps" all the time... I was just wondering if the process is any different to the one I do... basically, how you were able to recover the bump map you posted here from Poser... to what folder does poser generate the bump map?

ok, here's my first try... everything is dandy, but I can't get the bump map to work... I load the same JPG as bump map, but nothing... I even did bevel and emboss in photoshop, but I can't near the depth of your first bump map up there. I played with the + and - options for the bump map, and nothing... plus, how could you get the bump map poser did?? this is what I'm doing, please correct whatever I'm doing wrong... I open Poser, load the box, then press ctrl+U, add my sign.jpg as texture map, and then right below it, I add the very sign.jpg as bump map, touch nothing else, and press enter. afterwards, I played with the "strength" dials in the bump map part, but nothing... but again, I don't understand how you were able to recover the bump map generated by poser... how were you able to export it (man, it would save me a lot of headaches if I had only read the poser manual all the way to end.. after page 100, I thought I knew all i needed... and stopped reading... how wrong I was...)

woah, that's cool, dr. geep... but, how big should I make the sign?? I mean, you didn't even measure the box to see how big the jpg file should be?? plus, I didn't know Poser could create the bump maps on its own!! darnation, and here I was spending hours making countless bump maps in photoshop... thanks, I'll save the jpg and see how I go, I'll post back..

I think I've seen those, pjanak... I just never watch stuff like the 5th wheel, but when I eyed it once I believe I saw a poser character, just didn't remember it 'till now.

thanks geep! you convinced me of giving it a try... one question though... so far, when I've wanted to bump map something, I simply turn it into gray scale, then darken it with brightness and contrast, and then invert the colors... how did you accomplish those bumps in the sign? thanks for your valuable help... and I do have UVmapper, riddokun... I guess you can tell now why i wasn't so sure about making that eye prop myself, I still lack very much of the know-how by the way, how would you make those metal rings that hold the sign to the post? any tutorials about it

heh, I know her breasts are an exageration, but I wanted it that way... this character is supposed to be an excess of everything... and yeah, breasts that big should drop like mad, but hey, this is fantasy, gravity laws work differently in my comic :) so all you need are the names of the eye texture?? i can help ya with that... and yes, V3, M3 and S3 have the same eye part names... I wild guess it's the same with Mike and steph 1 (actually, why people keep calling stephanie petite as S3... there was no S2, so that's weird!).... so I'll get the name for ya and post them here incidentally, the girl driving the car is the same model as the one in the "lover's motel" above her... no one has cared enough to notice so far, heh.

yeah they should... but I was looking for something a bit more professional looking (like with bump maps and all)... that's why I didn't want to make them myself... but cool pic, dr. geep, probably will give it a try if no one produces a better one than the one I could make...

I'm inclined to think is your poser.dll file, present in your Vue directory... you can try and install Vue in a different folder, then, from that new folder, copy just the poser.dll file and paste it over the old one (in the original directory)... overwrite it. not sure if that would work, but it's the only thing I can think of...

just wanted to post the results... the sun is on pitch 90, azimuth 90... I had to make the sun stop pointing at the camera, because that was giving me a lot of problems getting a noon sun...
