Uses V3 poses on V4 all the time, just minor adjustments and find it useful because I have lots of V3 poses include many self made. Â
Thread: Merged figure V4 and the cat legs from creature creator add-on. | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
She poses extremely well for having non standard legs. Even pretty extreme standard V4 poses looks natural, only have to change her foots a bit because her paws are her foots now.

I still have one minor issue; I got a texture seam between her thighs and hip, will have to modify the textures to make them fit better, was thinking about remapping the hip in uvmapper and use the creature legs texture for the hip but the thighs-hip seam would probably be less visible. I also want to recolor the hear, would like more stripes to match her fur.

How do you handle the creature legs? As you understand I find them annoying to pose, do you conform them to V4 legs? Annoying that they don’t fit V4 hip directly, the creature legs figure is a few % to large.   Â

Point at will solve your problem.
I selected small and object->point at and selected big, then big and pointed it at small and now they point at each other. I used point at=0.5 on small to keep it centered and it look nice.
You are limited to 20 degree rotate on up because small is short but you could make it longer, but that would also be true in real world. One idea might be to simply let small extend into down. A more detailed model would have a hole in down where big could rotate, it would also enable you to use a longer small.

Thread: Poser and ATI 7.12 Drivers | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I updated to 8.1 from 7.11 and I got this problem now on a 1600pro and got this problem.
It's a huge lag then I change from an object to camera or try use the material editor. Strangely moving the cameras work great but not to change cameras.
Will try to go back to 7.11 and see if it helps.
Thread: Morphs not working | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I have something of the same problem but only with the Victoria 4.1 Creature Creator Morphs. I can inject other morphs for V4, remove them and load my self made obj morphs.
I inject the morphs, poser 7 wait some time and no morphs are added.
Then I installed the creature creator morphs it tried to run a bat file in the H:Poser 7RuntimeLibraries!DAZDzcreatePFiles-V4.bat
All the files in the product list file are present, except the bat file.
It look strange to me that I cant only add the files I want, I seldom want to use more than a few morphs on a figure.
I use poser 7.0 on win xp sp2 and Victoria 4.1

Thread: Problem with multi group figures in Poser 6 | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Thank you will try what. Why will not the external morphs work? It sounds like a good idea, better then storing it in the object. It will reduce file size.
Thread: Poser 6 problems with Victoria 2? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
This sounds much like my problem with morphs on multi group figures. For me morphs disappear on conforming clothes on Victoria 2 when I add the figure to library but saves work fine.

Thread: MATs in Pose libary or Camera libary??? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Hi As I poser 5 user I would prefer to place them in the poser folder. There you also have the sub folder who I use myself. In poses I have folders for Vici poses (Standard poses), Vici mat, Vici clothes and P4 poses, P4 mat, P4 clothes, one for hair, and one for object mats This work great I think. Only thing is the regular new item groups like poserworld who have their original folders. This keeps the folder small and its pretty easy to sort the items. One thing I have wondered about is that then I cerate a new folder its placed at the bottom of the list, so the list is not alphabetic. For a poser 6 or a major poser 5 update I would want the possibility to mix characters, mat poses and props in a folder or folder tree. That way I could keep the mat poses and props for clothing or characters close. Magne
Thread: saving .obj files in poser5 | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Hi Thank for your answer. I imagined that was part of the problem, I think I understand the other one. I mix up materials and groups from the group editor. Then I save a .obj file, the texture names is preserved, and equal named textures for props is joined. The original groups from the group editor are gone and each of the original props is now a group in the group editor. Another question. Is there an easy way to merge two props to one so I can use it as a smart prop? I can parent props to each other, but still got all the decoration props in the prop list and I loose the smart prop possibility. I know it is a merge function in the group editor, but has never been able to use it. Magne
Thread: Strange problem, props and characters resize to the parent. | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Hi thank. You have right, but the resizing does not happens every time. Created two standard boxes rescaled one to yscale=10% x=200%, added a hat from the clothing props folder. Parented it to the rescaled box and the resized to yscale=10% x=200%, then parented it to box 2 at original size, and it changed back. But if I move or resize the hat first it will not resize. Also if you move or resize after it has been parented it will not return to its original size after been parented to box 2 or universe. I learned something, and I know how to fix my scene, I have a podium made of a resized box and a resized posable prop, I parented props before moving them and moved them later. Then I tried to parent them to the podium instead of the character I got the problem. I also understand posers problem, because it is not able to remember the previous value on a resized prop who first is resized by the parenting and then by the user. But I find this very confusing, and non intuitive. One Idea has been to use the Inherit bends to control this. I have found useful in some situations like adding a prop belt or collar to a character. I assume that is that it is for. It could also been used for scale with one other prop or a limb of a character. That will not damage anything with the bend with function only expand it. Sometimes the scale with function it nice, for added decorations or covers, but most time I dont want it, especially not on primitives. Or then you resize a room or table and start adding objects to it. Magne
Thread: 2 strange P5 problems, camera mat poses and magnets | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Thanks To move and rename the mat poses to pz2 solved the problem, but the node cleaners might get rid of the extra p5 texture settings, before applying new mat files. Magne.
Thread: 2 strange P5 problems, camera mat poses and magnets | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Thank you, it just to move and rename? :o) Then I got one idea, can I rename to .cr2 (character's) and place them togeter with the figure. That is something I would like in poser 5 with subfolders. If you could plaze caracters, assosiated props and mat poses togeter in one folder. Maybe an idea for Curious Lab? Magne
Thread: is it possible to do this? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
That I did with good result was to parent the staf to the left arm, then turn IK on for the right arm and parent it to the staff. I think it depend on the object you use. You sving a staff, also for broms, shovels and spears, for a rifle or other tings you wold use to position I would have used IK on both hands.
