I agree with all of the three replies! Simple always gives you a pro results.. And the black or white frames are always been winners! Unless the contents of your photo/shot won't support them.. In this case use either a light shade or darker of your main background colours! Got what i mean? Thank you and have a nice day my friend... Hugs to you to, sigh

Answering your question, NO!

X-ray equipment used to inspect carry-on baggage uses a very low level of x-radiation that will not cause noticeable damage to most equipments!. Please check this LINK from Kodak

The X-Ray machines in the airports as you called it, will not effects your cards, or any other type of cards.. And don't effect the films even! either empty or with taken shots!

All of my cameras and cards go through the detectors and these x-ray machines a lot tho! And i never complained.

Also if you left your equipments in the suitecases! They will still go through that monitoring systems and x-rays.

Don't worry dear, let them pass and you will be fine.. And wish you enjoying your time and holiday

I am aware of such softwares, but none of them i would recommend :)
About getting intouch with your friend thats fine tho.. But make sure he don't use the pc till he figure out what he wants to do it or not.. Cause it will cost him some money!

I use and tested this software several times, it should help your friend tho :) please check EASEUS website and read about it.

@ Prixat and the laminators...

The reason they became so cheap is simple.. They developed a laminating technology without heat! As the normal laminators.. Now i know that you can use your hand by swirling a wheel buit in a laminator that doesn't need any power/batteries!

Just check this LINK these are real cheap and it can't live for long!

And that is why they are cheap tho! But even if you will go for the professional/commercial on this LINK  .. When you laminate a photo, it might live a bit longer, but not more then 12 month at max.. Air will find its way to get in tho!

Laminating your photos is not a good idea, cause i tried it my self :D and failed..

I agree with Richard tho... But...

Here is something i know and i will share...

If you go to a normal store, pharmacy etc... and get your self the hair spray cans that allow you to hold hair! I don't know if i said it right tho, the spray and not moose :)) We call it hair luck, if you know what i am talking about...

Any brand will work... This method is the cheaper and will last for long... from about 50cm spray your photo(s) left to right and the other way, make sure to cover all the pic(s) tho...

Let it dry for 1 min, and you are done!

This method works on any photo paper, either matt or glossy only!! Not a normal paper..

Also if you spray your car license plates! The radar cannot get you ;)

Try on one photo as an example and see how it works
