3DS Max version 7 does not require obj2max anymore. It has it's own OBJ plugin

DRICCI, Hey jerk, did you notice the part of my message where I said if I wanted to go for realism? Not my intention to impose MY preference of CG on anyone else! Now quit being sarcastic for no reason - its obnoxious when I was just sharing my own opinion like everyone else.

Let's all remember though, not everyone is going after realism. Like someone mentioned above they were going for a comic book look. Personally I prefer a smooth hyper-reality look to the skin and hair, etc. I guess more stylized. If I wanted real life renders I'd have taken up photography

I am surprised that this thread has been here so long and we still haven't seen a single lightsaber! No Star Wars fanatics here I "gather" (puns are fun)

Just a quick follow up -- I went ahead and upgraded to Poser 6 and I must say it really is a huge improvement over Poser 5 on my system. Thanks for the advice earlier people!

By the way, in 3DS Max 7 you don't even need the Habware exporter anymore... it will export/import OBJ files with a natively included plugin!

LOL yea that bit about "but I'm not going to" was not on par. Ok well let's just hope someone else from EF like CL-Steve will come in here and clear it all up soon. By the way, I have Poser 5 - do you guys feel it is worth upgrading to Poser 6 now with the SR1 if what I mostly do are still scenes that I later export to 3D Max as OBJ files?

If you'd just empathize and imagine for a second that maybe he was being totally honest and truly only wanted to help, then from his point of view I don't see anything wrong with his posts at all. However a few wise people rightly pointed out you should not just blindly trust someone asking for a serial number until/unless they have been confirmed to be official representatives.

I see the whole thing as benign instance of misunderstanding which is very easy to do in an online forum!
