My voucher code wouldn't work when I typed it in, either. After 20 or so minutes of that fun, I remembered that the PDF coupon they provided during the preorder (I had saved it to my hard drive) had an embedded link in it. I clicked on that and was able to proceed.
Thread: Poser Pro 2012 Upgrade... How do I download? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Well, that was a convoluted process. The store kept kicking back my coupon code when I typed it in. Then I remembered the PDF coupon they provided when I preordered - clicked the link in it and it took me direct to the shopping cart w/the coupon already applied. I paid the bucks for shipping and, voila, in a week or so I should have it.
Not sure why I couldn't type it in myself.

Thanks. I enjoy making music videos for songs I like. Don't claim they're great - I am an amateur, after all, and don't have ample amounts of free time. in some instances, like the one for Rumer, I switched to sketch mode due to the amount of time it was taking to render. That's also why I used the backdrops, which I agree aren't the best moments.
I have some others - one for the Bangles' Manic Monday that I did in 2005 that, because of the song, I can't upload to Youtube (it got nixed once for a copyright violation). But here's one from 2006 that I did for "Girls Like Me" by Bonnie Hayes and the Wild Combo - http://youtu.be/fBoODgKd2KU.
I have more that I'll have to dig out of my external hard drives and/or DVD backups. I usually create one or two a year - they take so long to render, that's my main complaint.

I did this in Poser Pro - http://youtu.be/A93N0GST4zE. Not great by any means, but not awful. I've done similar videos in the past

What I would like is something that Vue has - the ability for a light to affect only those objects you select.

Run Step 1, which reads the morphs, then click assist. That creates a Victoria4.xml or Michael4.xml file that you then load into the Poser Talk Designer. (You may have to find it on your computer - I do on mine, at any rate.) Then create the lip sync. After it finishes, run Step 2 of Talk Designer Assistant. That tweaks every frame of the animation.
It doesn't work in Poser Pro 2010 64-bit (at least, it doesn't for me), so I use Poser 8 with it. Also, if you've renamed your character, which I often do, revert to Victoria4 or Michael4, as it doesn't work otherwise.

I use Talk Designer Assistant - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SoiOdRFM_ss is a tutorial of it. Works okay w/V4, though some V4 characters work better than others (not sure why). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SoiOdRFM_ss is my video. You do want to go easy on the enunciation (I stuck to between 1.5 and 2) or weird things happen to the face. In each instance, I recorded myself reciting the song lyrics (you don't want ancillary noise), then imported the wav files into Poser - some of the flubs are due to me, as a result. I didn't hold some notes as long as I should have. Also, syncing it to the actual song took some doing.... I didn't succeed in each instance.
Thread: Have any of you ever become hostile towards the Poser Hobby? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I've gone long stretches w/out anything Poser-related - most recently, from May of last year to May of this year with the exception of a CD cover that I created for a mix I gave a few friends at Xmas. And going further back, I've taken similar long breaks, usually after intense periods of usage. Given that my desktop just died, I may be taking another, this time forced, sabbatical for a while. My laptop can only do so much. (Thankfully I didn't lose a lot - I back up everything on two separate hard drives.)

That's good for a 2nd try. Don't let criticism get you down. One thing I would say is think in terms of actual music videos and/or TVs and movies - long stationary shots, etc., are the exception to the rule. Render the same scene from diff. angles, long shots, close ups, etc., then use your video editor to put together one scene.
Here's one I did recently - http://youtu.be/A93N0GST4zE. Had talk-designer problems and lip-sync issues, but it came out okay. Same movement (or lack thereof) issues as you, too.

Animating with Poser has a learning curve - trial and error is the best way to learn. I'm still learning, and I've been at it for a decade.
Anyway, depending on the quality settings and the size of the picture (1280 x 720, for example, which is 720p hi-def), the longest part of the process will probably be the actual rendering. A minute animation = 1800 frames, after all. I mixed sketch-renders in with my latest, a three-minute (and change) video, to speed up the process - http://youtu.be/A93N0GST4zE. Came out looking okay, save one or two spots.
Also, remember that the camera and video editor are your friends.

Quote - OldGreyCat: Liked the animation video. Is the music score original?
I wish it was an original! One day I plan to teach myself MIDI (or whatever it is) to create my own scores. Youtube has an audioswap feature that allows you to replace copyrighted material with music they have rights to. That piece was almost the right length, and kinda fit, so I went with it.

The only downside to Poser animations is the amount of time they can take - a 510 frame (1280 x 720) animation I recently did took a little more than 50 hours. But they're usually worth the wait. Here's one I did last year - http://youtu.be/tqg7h3R6ST0 as a test of Poser Pro and a Stonemason set.

After working out whatever motion you want with the video footage in place, remove it and select a color (green is common) for the background - render, save, then import into whatever video editor you use and combine the two there.
