I think I have the same problem with the silly white lines. The render area feature seems like a good idea but they should be clear that it is quirky before we put hours into being frustrated with it.
I tried the making strips coming from the left trick and it worked fairly well. But the system seems delicate and I keep having to start over. Maybe this will eventually be of some use if I play with it.
The reason that I am struggling with this approach is that some of my scenes have gotten very complex and even though I have a new big Mac and Poser 8 -- what I thought would be a powerhouse combo -- my machine will sort of crash somewhere during large renders and a message pops up telling me there is not enough memory and to use another render engine (What other render engine for criminy sakes?!!!!) or do something or other with the cache that is not clear and I can't track down in the manuals. So I thought I would try doing sectional area renders but then I end up with these darned white lines.
Any words of wisdom would be much appreciated.

Finally somehoow or other after enough fooling around it worked! I don't know what I did to make it work, maybe I just got an A for effort :)
Thanks all for trying.
PS, it was not an upgrade.

Thanks for the help section link. Yes I tried all that, but it is a comfort to know that I really did do things right. Small comfort!!
I guess I will have to try them by e-mail in the morning when I am I am in a better spirit. This has worn me out for tonight. Hope P8 is worth all this!
Thanks for trying. This just does not seem right.

I did not buy it directly from Smith or from Content Paradise. I bought it from I think maybe Amazon. I would have to check. But it was not Smith or CP.
I DO have the serial number,as I explained in great detail the problem is that the registration set-up will not accept it.

Sorry folks, I have been away from the computer. I broke a tooth and have been sort of running around finding foods that I can eat until I get it fixed. Thanks for your comments. I will indeed pursue them when I get back to normal and will hopefully in time have some comments of my own. Best

I figure it is what is known legally as "fair use" and that would stand up in court.
But my opinion does not matter if you figure they might harass Renderosity, and you represent Renderosity, not me. So okay. End of matter.
The link is apparently still here for anyone who cares to understand what I am trying to work out.

Sorry I don't understand your response. The clothing in the link is nice and maybe usable if I were to be able to complete it. . But Codpiece's codpiece is what is difficult to model.

Really neat.
One frustration -- The Turbo writing on the passenger side is mirror image backward. I can't figure out how to get at it!!!! There does not seem to be an image map or? I am quite curious what is going on.
Help?

**rl2000 that is really rotten!!
I think decent customer servicereally is an ethical issue. There is an issue of trust. When someone goes out and sells they are asking you to trust them. If you cannot trust them to back up their advertising it is false advertising, Of course it is hard to prove if it is intentional and thus a crime, but there is nevertheless an ethical obligation and false advertising due to sloppiness implies somesort of breach of trust and is an ethical matter.

Thanks Starlet. but not so easy!!
Following the information you provided I just tried to buy on-line through Fortress CP, again so that I could be sure to get the free months of Passport. . But it would only let me buy the e version. So I backed out.
Seems that I still would need a way across trhe moat to llocate any humans in the castle.
