A nice quick tip I learned if you right click on the 'Lock camera to view' Select add to Quick favorites. When you start a new scene you can just press Q and select the check box there. By default it is unchecked and for me it's a pain, but leaving it on can get messy at times as well (there is no undo for camera movements)
Thread: I'm not a techie...need help w/ Poser | Forum: Poser Technical
For those slower computers (like my 266p2) I was doing a poster for a music competition. Showed room with 4 rows of three chairs each and three characters in each row all turning around to hush someone on their cell phone. I used paste as background. several times. For the position I just copied the body and pasted on to new character and just used the x axes to slide them over to their own chair.
Thread: Light generator script.... | Forum: Poser Python Scripting
I just bought that book this last weekend I was going in for the 3D Artists magazine (they had a couple of scripts and effects for poser) On my way out I just happened to notice it. Finally someone else is writing about poser!! Thought it would read more like an FX book rather than the Poser 4 Manual (that was dissappointing ) But I am very interested in this scripting stuff. BTW - your script and three or so other ideas within the book was enough for me to buy it. Nice Job Thinking about the adding lights script and I know nothing about what Python can do or it's full potential but how about check boxes and dropdown lists. like 'how many lights' 'Spots?' 'Colors' or atleast intensity and fall off settings. You probably could come up with away to add a preset of colored lights to an excisting set on the stage? I better get back into poser now too many ideas floating around....... : )

Thread: Carrara sidegrade promo for users of MetaCreations software | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I agree with the above I started in metacreations rather late but I've owned Corel since version 3 - 4 - 5 and now 8 and I was so dissapointed about hearing that Corel got Bryce I actually have to admitt they really haven't done any damage to it but I can see Bryce 6 with only one big change they'll probably make the trees to animate (which they could have put in this version) As far as metacreations there gone forget about em If Evoia is willing to give out the disscounts fine but I see them giving out about as helpful information as metacreations did. I've been to their site for help with amapi and the documentation is terrible. Other then that all the software listed above stands against all the really expensive stuff out there (and the others are very very expensive)
Thread: OLD RDS 5.5 reading PZ3 | Forum: Carrara
Thanks, thought I lost my old version of 3 just found it. However, the read me file for Poser 4.0.3 (didn't buy it till Curious Labs got it back) said it was enhanced or improved in this new version? Maybe I can find the same file name after I install 3. Thanks again...by the way I sent an e-mail to curious labs and they told me RDS in now Carrara (dah) and they didn't know where to get the patch for RDS??? must have been a transferre from metacreations. :)
