Daremok:  Thank you for replying.  I finally figured out my issues, I should have updated here sooner.   It's always been a quirky application, and the way the Daz upgrade worked was a bit funky, but I figured it out.  I was just missing where it had unpacked a zip file.

I agree... the site DOES look much better than it did.   I'm still not big on the banner up top... I'd like to see it the same color as the boxes on the side, and there's still a certain "Dazishness" to it, but it's much, much better than it was when it was rolled out.

The grey boxes (instead of garish white) are definitely a step in a better direction.  The banner up top needs to tone down to about that level, too!

Honestly, making everything on the bage a shade brighter is not a fix.  Do they still teach color theory as part of commercial arts and design anymore?

I just got a newsletter from the site today, and it looked MUCH better than the website itself does.

The "Other Site" as folks are what I gather calling Daz's site at least they from what can tell and or remember had their site pretty much complete and ready to go (apart from a few hiccups here and there).

In the end Rendo will just become like every thing else and have no uniqueness it will lose what made it stand out from the crowd but I think it is already too late.

To be fair to Daz, their website rollout was an unmitigated disaster.  They might have had the "look" they desired (and apparently, the one Renderosity desired, too) but their website ceased to function for nearly a month, and they are still experiencing "hiccups" to this day.

Okidoke, thanks.  For the record, the white on blue is really, REALLY jarring.  (The white banner mixed with the font is very DAZ-ish, too.)

I don't think I'm supposed to mention it but it's been 2 hours, and  the site's still ugly as sin.

Yeah, I have an iPad myself, but I don't have a Poser or Daz Studio app for it, ha ha.  I have occasionally looked at this site on it, but have never BOUGHT anything while surfing on my iPad... doesn't make sense.  I buy all my items from the computer I actually use the 3D programs on, and that's not coincidentally where I do most of my shopping from, as well.
