I also use to use Bryce 4, but haven't used it in a couple months since I got Vue 3. I think a lot of people here had Bryce first, then went over to Vue. I don't think you would find many people who had Vue first, then changed over to Bryce. I think Vue is the better of the two.

I have Photoshop 5.5, where are these hoses or plugins. How much do they cost, how do they work. Sorry, I don't really use Photoshop for much, would like to though. Please help the less informed out. Are the Photoshop ones as good as Painter? Thanks, Dave

Thread: Half water half land pictures? | Forum: Bryce
FastTraxx, Yeah, it's all just one Bryce scene, I'm looking to see if there's a better way this has been done, or is this how do do a half land/half water scene. I've looked around and can't say I've seen a picture done this way yet, I'm just trying something different. Any ideas on how to improve it, without doing anything in Photoshop to split the scene? I want to keep it all as one Bryce scene.

Kate, I know, I'm having major problems with the lighting in Vue. I had to put the spotlight into a cone to be able to see the light. I then had to color the cone yellow. I set all transparency to 100%, but it still looks solid. Maybe I should just try to do it in Photoshop? Or is there an easy way to do lighting in Vue, and I just can't figure it out? Thanks, Dave

Davo, I also ordered my copy last Thursday, and can't wait to try it out. I have Bryce 4.0 now, but I think Vue has a more realistic view to it. Hope to see some of your pics up after you get a chance to play around with it. Two weeks to wait until I get my copy, at least I still have Bryce to tide me over.
Thread: Why do people say vue 3 is like the Bryce 5? | Forum: Vue
Kate, I'm not trying to make competition between the two, I'm just wanting to know what one can do over the other. I'd like to get Vue 3, but does it offer enough difference than Bryce 4 to justify the $200 cost? Thanks

Bill, I like to do outdoors type pictures, I really want to know what the difference is between Bryce and Vue 3? Does Vue render faster, as well as the above questions. Thanks, Dave
