I am lost here.... what was created?
The dials are built into the program.... If I photoshop an image, can I claim ownership of the image?  I thought if you reword text from an author it was still considered plagiarism. 

The subject in question is not a product.... For it to be a product, something must be produced.. 

If this were about a tutorial on how to use the shader room, that would count as a product.

I think gumby* would be pretty easy to model with hex.  Boning him (no pokey jokes, please) wouldn't be overly complex as he was just a piece of rubber with wire inside.  No specific joints to consider.

create the general outline and extrude.  Images should be readily available on the net.

I agree, not once did anyone even hint Clark was better.  It was just different.  And different is very good in a weak market.  Clark was compared to M2 until anton forgot to take his happy pills. 

I have never used AM and didn't plan on ever using it because of the cost.  Those of you saying anton leaving is a loss remember nature abhors a void.  There will be others that will fill it. 

To have given anton some sort of major celebrity status that allowed him to pressure stores into pulling other characters based on no substancial evidence would be more of a loss to the community than the loss of one person.  [cue munchkin music]

Support new developers.  They are learning from every piece they create.  They shouldn't have to fear the communty's wrath for presenting their work to the public.

I agree completely.  To say he couldn't model yet he could combine meshes and alter them is silly.  For the work you would go through to do that, it is easier to model your own.  Oh, did I mention how skillfully that was done so it wouldn't be obvious?  Sanity check in aisle 7, please.

If I remember correctly, the initial complaint was that someone whom apparently had never tried 3d modeling created a nice character and released it out of the blue.  Impossible because of the amount of work required to create a mesh of the human form. 

With that in mind, all evidence that attempts to prove the meshes are the same seems to show modeling skill that the original claim says could not have been there and that someone has decided they are the only person in the world skillful enough to create a mesh of the human form.

Those of you that feel Poserdom has taken a step back towards mediocrity need to remember that we cannot rely on one person to model everything.  I don't care how good they are.  There are others that are now learning this craft that will rise above current achievements.

To discourage budding artists will leave the community stagnant.  Anyone that feels they should hold a monopoly on design is trying to keep the community from growing.  I would rather be part of a community that encourages novice creators into greatness than one that finds a mark it considers perfection and sits around content.

I think you traced the mesh of gumby and Mr. Bill.  And somehow a mesh magically sprang forth that you couldn't possibly have created as you have no modeling experience.

On a serious note, It was the speed of the modeling that cause the mesh to melt.  You have to take months to work on a complex human form to keep it from doing exactly that.

Maybe he needs some of this.
