Contest prizes (4) will be banner placement at the top of the forum. Have lots and lots of fun! :) 1.) banners to be no larger than 300x50 pixels and must contain "Fractal Forum" in it somewhere! 2.) banners are to be static, no animations or morphs (that will be another contest (smiles)) 3.) no particular theme, just fractals :) 4.) entry must not have been created prior to contest start date! 5.) 3 entries per actual person, 4 winning banners to be voted for. (no more than 1 winning entry per person) 6.) All are welcome to participate except for the two fractal forum moderators! 7.) banners rotate once a week each for 16 weeks (then it's time for a new contest) 8.) contest to run for one month from start date. Start date is Dec. 23, 2002 and end date is 23:55 Jan. 23, 2003. 9.) email entries to firefly@renderosity and I will post them annonomously into a thread here and announce names after voting.

Hi, Firefly! I'm working on my entry and now that I'm seeing it, I wonder: isn't 300 x 50 a little too small? For example, the actual banner is 350 x 105. Just want to make sure. Tahank you!

Hi ya DreamWarrior! I'm so glad to hear you're working on an entry :) Regarding the size, you are quite right about the current one's size :) Now, for the dilema... Changing rules once a contest has started almost always causes some grief and/or pain! (smiles) For now, lets stick with 300x105. After the contest we can go for a forum vote on how big they want the banner... 300x105 or 350x105...

I understand and agree. One thing, though: you say let's stick to 300 x 105 in your last message, but the rules say 300 x 50. That's a big difference. What is it, then? Thank you!

My appologies to all of you for the size confusions (sigh) ...firefly checks her glasses and can only conclude they are dislexic... Contest Addendum? Please, your entries can be any size between 300x50 (minimum size) and 300x105 (maximum size). Again, I'm really sorry for the confusion on this.

Thanks DreamWarrior! I guess this is one of the cases where practice makes perfect (smiles) so, we'll just have to do more contests (if this one flies) so I can get more practice!!
