Still optimizing space on my system and came up with an older pic. Normally would have tossed it, thought you may get a chuckle. Enjoy.

LOL. Glad you didn't toss it. Put in your gallery for a while, just for a giggle. If you don't like the reaction it gets there, delete it. Sometimes we can be the worst judge of our own work. Oh, now I know why I like this so much. My Dad has a print of the "Dogs Playing Poker" painting next to his workbench in the basement; he says it never fails to make him smile. The "Dogs" image is considered trite and unimportant by some self-important art critics, but many of those critics fall all over themselves with praise for Andy Warhol. I like some of his stuff MYSELF but how much work is there in colorizing xeroxe of photos? :^) I'm still LOL at this pic. Thanks for brightening my morning.

This is not my "second childhood". I'm not finished with the first one yet.

BTW, may I suggest a new title? Since Spock and Boba Fett aren't Robots, how about "Deal Me In" if Spock's just entering the room, or "Play Long and Prosper" if he's leaving the game after running out of credits.

My bets on R2D2. :)

ICMgraphics ( ) posted Sun, 05 January 2003 at 7:50 AM

isn't Boba an android? hehe, glad you like it. I'll do that(post it).

tjohn ( ) posted Sun, 05 January 2003 at 7:58 AM

Boba Fett is the clone (whom he considers a son) of Jango Fett. In the Star Wars universe android is usually understood to mean the same as robot (hence, 'Droids). In most other sci-fi I've read, it usually means a robot made to simulate a human (think Data of Star Trek). Haven't seen Episode II yet, have you? :^)

Nope

I like it. Reminded me of the picture of the dogs playing poker (can't remember the name of that one right now, though). Nice optional titles, tjohn.

If anyone thinks I should delete my previous comment in this thread, I will. I don't want to spoil anyone's enjoyment of Epsode II (Jar-Jar Binks will probably do that for you anyway :^) ) I had a moron tell me just before I went to see Episode 5, "Guess what, Luke and Leia are brother and sister and Darth Vader's their daddy!" I could have killed him. Think I'm safe with this info, that movie has been out since 1980.

He's not in it long enough to spoil it this time (jarjar). ;)

BOOMER ( ) posted Sun, 05 January 2003 at 8:50 AM

I agree with you, ttops, but he still needs to get dragged around in space by an X-wing for a while. That way, he may not show up in the next episode. Ahh...we can only hope.

I love this pic. It kills me how many people think that Jar Jar character is annoying, yet believe that Yoda is actually cute.

LOL LOL LOL LOL great one!

ttops ( ) posted Sun, 05 January 2003 at 9:22 AM

Yoda rules!

lsstrout ( ) posted Sun, 05 January 2003 at 10:29 AM

This is a funny pic! Yoda drove me crazy the first time he appeared, but he grew on me. At least he knows how to use the force. Where the heck is Kryton? (Red Dwarf reference) Lin

Rochr ( ) posted Sun, 05 January 2003 at 11:38 AM

This piece is hell of a lot better than Episode 2 will ever be! Cant really see how anyone could enjoy that movie! Lucas successfully kills every part of that Star Wars magic the old movies had! And the part where old Yoda makes Jackie Chan look like a cripple...IMHO they should hang the person responsible for that one...yuck! :) ...the cg cities were nice though...

Rochr: Thought that Yoda was the great redeeming factor of the film (Episode II) for me. What almost killed it IMHO was the so-called romance. Has the guy who plays Anakin Skywalker in this film ever had any acting experience or lessons? I could not believe the actors could tolerate each other, let alone were in love. I assume it was not the actress' fault because I thought she was a high point of Episode I. Just my 2 cents worth.

Yoda...well...he's an old fart, die already. Looks like a squashed golem. Now, the romance thing. Think about it for a sec. The kid was 8 in episode 1 and she was, I don't know, sake of argument let's say 20. 10 years go by and he's 18. All well and good. Now, she's 30. Hmm...you figure it out. Damn near statutory rape. Maybe she was just digging that new hand of his.

Uh, Boomer, Yoda did die, in Episode 6, I think. Watch that one if his death would please you. :^)

Thanks nu-be: That's the name of the print my Dad has, is it a bulldog passing a card under the table with one of his hind feet? Or maybe having it passed to him, I forget.

I just thought about your other comment, nu-be. If Luke can see Anakin, Yoda, and Obi-wan in the Jedi afterlife, where are all the other dead Jedi that should be there? Obi-wan mentions almost all are dead in Episode 4, due to the "Clone Wars". And by the way, you're gonna have to change your handle, soon; you're not really a nu-be anymore, LOL.
