Subject: Newbie to Poser 5 - needs help

I'm brand new to Poser, and recently purchased Poser 5. There is a Content CD that contains some other clothing and stuff, like some 15th Century clothing. I am having trouble getting those clothing items onto a model without it wiping out the model. I open a nude P5 man first, then open the 15th century and select it, but it knocks out the male model I selected. I'm not quite sute what I am doing wrong, and I'm hoping for some guidance. Thanks.

Read the FAQ section at the top of this page. And on the Poser Technical Forum page. That will give you a start on many of the basics. ScottA

When you want to select a second figure (such as a piece of clothing) you must click the clothing then the double tick at the bottom - don't double click the clothing! This adds a second figure instead of replacing the existing one.

elqyfu is right. If you double click the clothing there's a dialogue box that comes up which ends in either deleting the model or not loading the clothing piece. The double check mark at the bottom of your library is what is needed to add a piece. Once that is done, go to the "figure" menu and "conform to" and choose "figure 1". Hope this gets you started.
