OK! I tatooed the girl. I just got one problem with the skin colour turning brighter after applying the tatoo. I follow the tutor by quinlor, but still I got this problem. I manage to bright up the head color on the girl, but on the man I didnt do anything with head texture. Look at the difference. Thanx for any help. /Pax Corpus Girl: http://home.no.net/corpus/photo/motorpsycho%20girl.jpg Man: http://home.no.net/corpus/imgs/tatoo.jpg

Here's a screenshot of a simpler way than posted earlier. The screenshot is hard to read, so here's a step by step instruction list. 1: Load your texture 2: Go into the material room and disconnect the texture from the Diffuse setting. 3: Create a new node off the diffuse setting for Color_Math (not off of the alternate diffuse setting). Make sure the color for both value 1 and value 2 of the Color_Math are set to white 4: Attach Value1 to the texture 5: Create a new 2D texture node off of Value2 (image_map) 6: Load your tattoo into this. Set the image mapped parameter for this to None (default is tiled). Size your tattoo using the U_Scale and V_Scale parameters. Position it using the U_Offset and V_Offset parameters. Set the strength of the texture too. Real tats aren't solid after the first day, they all fade a little. I usually use .7. You're done.

Here's the render. The earlier example was off of the alternate diffuse and included the skin node. Niether is needed for a simple tat blend. Other nodes can still be played with. You can even change the colors on the Color_Math, just make sure value 1 and value 2 are the same.

Yikes! The color math setting needs to be "Multiply"!

Hey! Thanx for that!

Does it only suppose to show when you render it?

It only shows when you render in P5. I don't know how it'll show in P6.
