I think he did the particles in that "universe image creator" program. That's how he did the stardust in the 3DWorld cover image (if I rememer correctly from reading the mag).

Argh! The site is dead, dead, dead! And I have the demo version, with just the stars and nebulas, only. (Plus there's an extraneous http, there Roch). And every link I checked connects directly to Diard Sofware. Nice pic, Vile, btw.

Never mind the fact I have no time or money (literally none at all) I find I am forced to enter this competition. It's all the fault of people in this forum, talking about it, getting me to look, seeing Rochr's entry and being compelled to join in. I could have remained mercifully ignorant and just got on with f*cking up my business and applying for more jobs, but no, it was not to be. You just had to stir it up. Thanks a lot. ;)

ENTER DAMNIT ENTER!!!! You guys really give me more credit than i can possibly deserve! :) Its the first time i send something for the cover contest, and i wasnt even sure it would be accepted. How do you show Air...??? But seriously, i would love to see an issue with Bryce pics all over, so keep sending them in! Rayraz is right. That stardust were made with the help of Universe. (The page is working now btw) How to... (if anyone is interested) I made a starfield in the app, with some flares, imported the pic into Bryce as a 2D picture object and used the same one as its transmap. Used a couple of these to build up a large starfield. Deleted the groundplane, and added a sky with colors similar to the ones in the main pic. Some radials here and there and rendered this. Then i used the starfield as new layers in Photoshop and played around with the gradient tools and colors. If you have the shareware version of Universe, you can add photoshop flares instead. Thats it really!

Yes, that Universe Creation application is very sweet. I've had it for quite some time and never get tired of playing with it. I think it's well worth the cost.
