Hi. I'm trying to animate a face close-up. After I set it up, then play it back, the face contorts far past where I set it. Am I doing something wrong, is this common, is there any way around it? Thanks, Jack

heya; you're running into the animation spline problem. in the animation palette, look for the four buttons with lines, like a curvy s line, and a jaggy triangle line... select your keyframes and press the jaggy triangle line. that makes the segments linear (not spline) animated. the splines tend to snake through keyframes, and go past your most extreme pose/setting before they turn and go towards the next keyframe. er, is that making any sense?? :)

I usally just lock the parameter dials, for instance: double click on right eye blink, reset min. 0, max 1,that's always cleaned things up for me. Jeff
