Subject: Poser: Is it a human behavioral experiment?

I think the government secretly paid CL to put in subliminal screen flashes that cause the users to become agitated and post messages saying so. You just don't see really riled up photoshop, or bryce users. =)

Nah. Amapi is the real experimental vehicle. If you want serious screen-smashing, flesh-tearing, tooth-snapping frustration, Amapi's the one. What's the key? I think it's knowing from experience that action XYZ is possible: I did XYZ once before, or thought I did, or dreamed that I did XYZ; but now there's no ^$#^$%^ *$&^%& ####@@%@%% way to make XYZ happen. If you feel (correctly or not) that action XYZ is clearly beyond the tool's capability, or if you can rationally find the path toward every possible action, there's no frustration.

Bryce users (I've been one since V2) we've been shunted around from pillar to post (vendor-to-vendor) so often we feel like a tennis ball but hoo-boy, you should have seen the lists (they didn't just sizzle, they exploded) when Version 3 came out (or was it 4? I think it was 4) and it was really flawed, and then the reactions were even more intense when MetaCreations dumped the product and all the employees to go on to further glory :) Web sites were 'draped in black', a hundred unflattering versions of the name "MetaCreations" were bandied about - it was not pretty. Getting riled up at Adobe would be like splashing water on the Rock of Gibraltar me thinks -Nancy.

Poser? It's just software. You don't have to use it. Go outside, read a book, watch TV, have sex, take a walk, take up knitting, whatever. There's more to life than Poser, trust me.

Or raking the lawn!! That's what I did all day today!! Cripes do I ever ache!! But it does make you look forward to just sitting and watching P5 render.....and search for textures.....and load objects.....and render.....and not find the texture.....and lock up! :) So....I'll rub the cats belly's instead..

I can say from experience that rubbing a dog's belly also works. The dog in question also seems to think so, quite enthusiastically.

Make sure you choose the right cat, though, or you may not be using mouse or keyboard for a while.
