Hera is a tutorial for it:-)Attached Link: http://www.renderosity.com/viewed.ez?galleryid=381182
In Orca Fantasies I took a bit of a simpler approach than the tutorial, more based on Wabe's technique, which is to place a large regular plane with a water texture and place the camera lens at the very edge of the plane. How close depends on a number of different factors and what effect you are going for, but it should be fairly close (if not almost right on it). Another trick I learned while doing that image was to place a long cube (the width of the plane) under the water on the opposite edge of the one on the camera. The cube should be a bluish or greenish color so it doesn't look out of place. This has a profound effect on the fogging that Vue does and will create that underwater fogging quite well, while leaving the top with less fog. You will want to have fog and haze turned up especially at the lower altitudes. Then it's just a matter of caustic lighting and such...Diagram:
v--Camera
]--------------------- <-- plane with water texture
....................[] <-- cube (ignore the periods)
---------------------- <-- infinite ground plane
Hope this helps. If ya have any other questions, feel free to IM me...
