THE PLACE FOR ALL THINGS BRYCE - GOT A PROBLEM? YOU'VE COME TO THE RIGHT PLACE

Subject: (a bit OT) Matrix Reloaded

Talkin about rollercoasters... yesterday I went to see "Matrix Reloaded". I went in a big theater, with 3,000 seats, 120sq. meters screen and rocking seats (yep!). It was crowded, so our bookings were for the... first row! Whoa! I came out as stunned and dizzy as after a rollercoaster ride. Amazing! During the first 5 minutes I was positive I would've puked my *** off, then I got used to it and the real fun begun! :-) But... somewhat I was disappointed by the movie itself. For sure it's not a bang like the first was, I disliked specially the sooo loooooong fights... But I was really impressed by some scenes, specially the ones about the city of Zion. I'm thinking seriously about tryin' to depict some of it with Bryce... anyone's got the same idea after seeing the movie? Stefano

The style was a bit different. Some more humor, and some less mystery to the storytelling. But I get the feeling the story gets better when it's combined with The Matrix Revolutions. I did get a Deja-vue feeling about the truck-crash on the highway (you know, with all the RiPpLe eFfEcTs). The fight with 100 AS's was too long, but had cool effects. I found that the motionblurr was too stylised too. I also have doubts about what the speech of Morpheus and the party/sex-scene had to add to the story. The speech of Morpheus was a little empty and the party-scene was too long to my taste. I do want to see the film a 2nd time though, because the overall story is very well thought out and very complex. I have the feeling I'll notice more details when I see it again. I'd like to know if there's a matrix within a matrix or if it's still something else. It is a good movie, but it's also very different from the first one.

It's also a shame you didn't get to see any of trinity's skin lower then the shoulders. :P

i was hyped before and after the movie the came out, and i was going to try modeling the nebbachadnezzar (morpheus's ship) but i only found 1 picture of it onliine after about 4 hours of searching, and it was a 100x100 thumbnail :( oh well maybe soon ill make a matrix image. i agree about that fight scene w/ all the smiths, it was one of the coolest scenes ever but it couldve been a little shorter. oh well id love to see with what you come up w/ stefano--maybe it can be next months challenge!

hahaah... guys I LOVE THE MATRIX! especially part 2, yeah the effects were great and i really like it a lot... but what really blew me away was the fraggin story! that was something that was mind boggling and at the same time very much interesting... in fact i really liked it so much that i bought the video and im wating for the ANIMATRIX to be released soon... and stefano, yes im doing a matrix pic at this very moment, will be done by... lets says wend... (cross fingers) i liked niobi a lot so im doing a niobi-esque type of charchter... hope you guys like it!

Well Reloaded is only half a movie as Revolution is the back half. They had to make it that way as that's how the story was written before Matrix 1 was even filmed. Speaking of Revolution did you stay till the end of the credits to see the Matrix Revolution trailer? It was only 30 seconds but showed some pretty cool stuff.

Never mind the movie, has anyone else played the game yet? The game is incredible, think of all your favourite action, adventure, role playing games all knocked into one and you have a little hint of what Matrix Reloaded the game is like. You also get to play two characters one is Ghost and the other is Niobi, so you have two games in one. It also has a code that you get when you finish the game to be able to watch all the video scenes from the game and one of these scenes is of Revolution. It's just a fantastic game and if you haven't got it yet you must. 8) Happy gaming all............... Catlin

This too. And it also shows a lego model the author of the page built of the ship. :-)

Something I thought was pretty dumb (assuming I'm right) is the final plot-line. Now, just from me thinking, I say that the Matrix will NOT have a happy ending, its just too weird of a movie to follow the norm (and if you see the history of it all in the Animatrix, I say the humans deserve what they got). So anyway, no big deal, right? Well now they're coming out with an online Matrix computer game in 2004(after both movies, completing the series), and this game is supposed to all take place AFTER the movies, and still involves the Matrix(which is where the game takes place, and theres still agents, and rebels). So, either they're gonna pull some weird stunt, or 'reboot' the matrix and start from sqaure one, and in the online game, one player will be 'Neo'(which is my assumption). Sounds fun to me, but I think it throws all the movies out the window, lol.

catlin_mc ( ) posted Mon, 02 June 2003 at 12:28 AM

Sparr it is possible for the Matrix to continue even if it all ends badly 'cos as we saw in Reloaded it had all happened before, numerous times. So a game in the Matrix online should be brill. Catlin

Sparr. I think it goes deeper then that. Neo waas ablt to stop the sentinels outside the matrix just like he was able to stop bullets inside the matrix. I think that what the zion people consider to be the real world might even be a second matrix and that the matrix only is a matrix within a matrix. The architect was also outside of the matrix, yet the digital neo could also exit the matrix into the architects room. That room has to still be a computer program then. The fact that that special 63rd(?) floor exploded might also mean that the control-area of the matrix is destroyed. Maybe the matrix is out of control and cannot be shut-down without chrashing the computer-system that runs it. That could explain why there will be an 'after-movies'-matrix.

GAMES TOTALLY COOL! pLAYED IT AND HAD FUN! and guys the debate goes on and on, but the better thing thing to do is watch the movie revolutions and see how deep the rabbit hole will go.... (actually i had a fight just debating about the movie... DANG!)

Rayraz ( ) posted Tue, 03 June 2003 at 4:42 AM

Maybe the rabbit hole is actually a rabbit loop...
