Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Jan 03 1:41 pm)
If it's a question of nudity, couldn't you edit all the standard CR2's so that they come up initially invisible, then make them visible after putting on clothing? Or add some simple clothes to each model at home, re-save the CR2's -with- the clothing, and take those to work. Then after you put on the clothes you actually want, make your "default clothes" invisible. (Anti-Galatea syndrome: I like it!)

You can use the Poser texture in Bryce, no need to texture the whole figure again with Bryce mats. Here is a quick link for one of those tutorials about how to do it with Poser3 and Bryce3D. Dunno what Bryce version you have, but should work as well in Bryce 4 and 5.Thank you..I knew all the collected minds in the forum would come up with something. I have Grouper (somewhere on one of the 50-odd CD's of downloads..;), I'll have to check and see if it works with 3, I seem to remember it working for 4..;) As for editing n*des, the very act of being caught editing them would be the same result (we have a zero tolerance policy..I've seen them act on a single picture..), but a good thought, nonetheless. I'll check out the link, too. Thanks again to everyone who helped..and even those that didn't..;)

The current version of Grouper is 1.4. You might want to make sure yours isn't older. It's supposed to work with exported obj's so I think the Poser version wouldn't matter. Out or curiosity, why are the Poser 3 model acceptable and the Poser 4 ones not? Aaaren't they just as nude? A job's a job these days but these folks sound waaay too up tight :-)

This may not even be the right forum. For reasons entirely to do with my Company, I cannot use Poser IV at work, because there's too many things that would get me pink-slipped. One thing I really miss, from the Pro pack, is the ability to transfer textures along with the .obj models. Short of taking a floppy from home to work and back (or emailing it, which still requires a floppy..I'm just a poor boy..;), I loaded Poser III on my work system. Hunky dory, most of the controls are the same, so I can make .obj's, and import them into Bryce.
Now Poser III just seems to have the 'anti-galatia' syndrome (it turns living characters into statues). Part of it may just be that I'm checking the 'export groups' or somesuch radio button.
Now Bryce, bless it's heart, has over a thousand material files (textures), yet the 'organic' materials I haven't seen too much of. What I wind up doing is texturing every little flinkin' numbbin of a finger on each hand..which gets tedious. So this leaves me with 2 questions..
