I came across a new utility called Motion Corrector v1.0 which works on motion capture files (.bvh files). It allows you to automatically adjust the body parts that are way out of place. It sells for $50.00. Does anyone have any experience with it? I am using Poser Version 5.0. Thanks

Can you give a link? I would like to check it out. Thanks, Joe www.3-AXIS.com

It's by minsk, and it's here in the Marketplace, LawnDartLawnDart. Anything with that many settings on the main panel frightens me.

It is in Marketplace. Anything that keeps you from having to use the animation graph pallete is an attractive possibility. I can never seem to get the shoulders and neck right on the motion capture import files. There are a lot of settings but that may give you more control over the final result. I think it is fairly new but hopefully someone has actual experience with it. Still it looks promising for getting rid of the shoulder/neck problem.

Fixing shoulders in the graph palette is actually pretty easy. There is a trick to it that not a lot of people know. 1. Import bvh file (collars are out of wack) 2. Select the collar and open the graph editor 3. Select BEND in the graph editor pulldown 4. Hold the mouse button down and scroll in the graph editor to select the keyframes. 5. (FIRST TIP) If you hold down the shift key while scrolling in the graph window a second time you can add to the selection. This means you can select ALL keyframes in the graph palette. You need to select all the keyframes before moving on. (the graph editor should be all black indicating that the all the keyframes are selected) 6. (SECOND TIP) Move the mouse cursor over the graph editor and hold down the CTRL key (notice that the cursor changes to a double up/down arrow) and click drag up or down to bend the collar until it is in the correct position. This process allows you to move all the BEND keyframes together fixing the collar through the whole animation while maintaining the relationship between all the keyframes. Note: You may need to do this for the shoulder as well correcting it after the collar is moved. I don't know if Motion Corrector is usefull or not but I would never use it. All the best, Joe www.3-AXIS.com

Thanks for the information. I think that I will hold off until I hear from someone who has used it and can recommend it. Too many things don't work as advertised. Also with DAZStudio on the horizon, it might be a good idea not to get too many things that are Poser specific.
