Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Dec 23 7:38 pm)
I'm not at my home computer right now, but here's the general run down: Once you're created the pose, go to the Pose folder and chose the folder you want to save it in. Make sure you have the correct figure slected! Hit the + sign at the bottom. A window will come up and ask you if you want to save the morph channels (or something like that.) Personally, I suggest that you say "No." (This allows you to use the pose again without changing the face and body morph settings, such as voluptuous, etc.) It will also offer to save one frame or a range of frames. Unless this is an animation, just have it save one frame. Name the pose and you're done. Ta! Da!
Not sure if this'll help ((or work in PP or 5.0)) Once you've gotten the pose how you want it, render and export the image out, then import the image as a background and move your camera over to a side so you're figure isn't in view...that way when you click to add the pose to a folder the thumbnail is of the image you have as a background and not your unrendered figures. ((make sure you move your camera over and not your figure else it'll save the pose way off on your x-axis. i hope this helps :) Ps. Congrats on the music contest, and your good lady's "Maria" piece is truly stunnin' Ever
NightHawkRN, I hope you don't take offence at this, because none is meant, but if you don't know how to save a pose and make thumbnails, I think you are (at least) months away from being ready to post poses to the freebies. Anyone can make a pose, but making a good pose takes a bit of experience. First become proficent at using Poser and making poses, then you can contribute somthing that is worth distributing.
No offence taken lesbently and thank you for your honesty. I am still learning the basics and I realize it is going to take time. Thats why learning from the pros is so important. I would never post anything in the freebie section unless its as close to perfect as I can get it and something that can be used by everyone.

I have been experimenting with creating new poses for V3 and V2 and have a question about how do you save the pose and put be able to put it in the pose library? I use Poser Propack and my wife uses Poser 5. Thanks for your help.
