Can you run Mimic on a computer that doesn't have Poser on it?

Before you ask why would I want to do that, allow me to 'splain...

I dl'ed Mimic last night on my home computer where I have Poser installed. Could I also put Mimic on my work laptop (copying the .cr2's that I need), create the Poser files and copy them back to the home pc? Since my laptop is usually with me I hate "to waste valuable time" when I could be doing something "important". :) Mimic asked for the Poser application path either during install or first run so this may not be an option.

i know you can run mimic 1 without poser by making a text file and naming it poser.exe before you install mimic havent tried mimic 2 but it should work

Thanks, brandonc. During install Mimic 2 spent a couple of minutes "searching for installed components" and when I ran it the first time it asked for the Poser path. I didn't know if it needed some pieces of Poser to run or not. I'll try your suggestion. At the very least, it should be entertaining to my cubemates if it works. Terry

Mimic2 is designed to be a stand-alone product. It can be installed on a computer that doesn't have Poser installed. The Session Manager will allow you to establish a path to the resource files you wish to work with.

From the MIMIC2 readme (without typo corrections):

Before you launch Mimic2 or Mimic2 Pro for the first time, you will be asked to locate Poser application file (Poser.exe). I you choose not to link to Poser, you will be prompted each time you launch Mimic to locate the Poser application.

Of course, the same "rename a poser.txt to poser.exe cheat" should work the same with MIMIC2 as MIMIC1 if you'd prefer.
