Subject: Poser 5 Walk Designer ---- Is it working ?

I could not open Poser 5 Walk Designer. P5 freezes when I try to open it.
It is working with Poser4.

Does it fully freeze or just take very long? In some cases, the first launch of the walk designer can take minutes.

I waited for 6 minutes. I was going to stop it. It appeared.
It appeared after 6 minutes.
It is amazing !

it only takes so long if you load it for the first time.

Ah, I have never got it to work either. I will try waiting it out. Perhaps I will leave it when I go to work. It is annoying coz the Poser 3 version was so clever.

The walk blends are compressed that caused the long loading time of walk designer in P5

A solution:

Make a backup of your runtime/pose/WalkDesigner folder.
Decompress the walk blends with a P5 Python Script. Run Python... browse for the Poser folder and find the script 'uncompressPoserFiles.py' Type in the path your pose/WalkDesigner folder. Check the 'Delete Original Files' option and Click OK.

Walk Designer should load much faster now.

Get the latest patch for P5 too. It will help stability and load times in Walk Designer. Nerd
