Actually I work on new textures for the UpDo. I have P5 with the latest SR. I have tried every displacement tip for texture and/or transpary setting, but the hair looks always blocky in my render :o( Can anybody help?

Schalte mal 'use texture filtering' ein. UpDo2 braucht keine displacement map (habs gerade mal getestet) Wenn Du willst mache ich screenshots. Mazak

Would it be at all possible for someone to translate the answer into English, for those of us with the same, or similar problems that don't speak German?? Thanks.

Hi Engel47, o.k. so if you want, that the hair don't looks blocky use texture filtering. But with this setting the body texture looks sometimes very extreme (image 2). So you must choose good looking hair or good looking character texture. Or you make two images (one for the hair and one for the body) and put them together in Photoshop.

I say: uses use texture filtering in render settings and UpDo2 dont need a displacement map. That helps for transparent maps but sometimes it makes strange effects with texture maps. Mazak

The blocks I see in the first picture look like regular aliasing to me - wenke, try setting a higher number of pixel samples and/or setting the post filter size to 2 and the type to gauss. Stefan

That is the nicest I've seen the version 2 DAZ hairs look yet. I
hope you will also do some for the new Flip Hair. I tried, but it
still looks very dry to me. Yours looks nice and soft >^_^

@ Momcat: Thanks and yes I also make textures for the Flip Hair too :o)

Guys, I've been wondering - I have the original Flip and Updo. Are the new versions significantly better? Is there a good reason to get them? :] Fish
