THE PLACE FOR ALL THINGS BRYCE - GOT A PROBLEM? YOU'VE COME TO THE RIGHT PLACE

Subject: OT - Virus night, all night... :(

Just recieved my 67th virus attemp since 3 hours back. Instead of buying cheap beer in Denmark, Swedes should invest in a new brain, AND an anti virus app, since 90% of the crap is coming from swedish accounts... ):( If you havent updated, do it now. The crap (sobig.f)is supposed to spread until the 10th.

Whhile you're at that, invest in a mail program different from Outlook Express. Turn off HTML mail, refuse attachments which were not announced in advance, install a personal firewall, install Mailwasher so you can bounce and delete spam on the server...

Well, i got one of those right. A firewall. :) I dont blame the software, but the people, who just have to click on EVERYTHING, even though theyve been warned to death. (Most recently one moron at my work...) I mean, with some common sence, who would click on "This attachment will make your pXXXs grow, just click here, yes, right here" ...and they do just that! :( Btw, im also celebrating virus attempt number 100 any second now...

I had Norton and Eudora at work. Our IT support said everyone get outlook and McAfee. We will spoonfeed everyone updates because two or three can't figure out how to use it. I had no problem before. I got two last week. Five re: your details messages came today with attachments. I just throw them in the trash and pray that no one else lets them in. And I burned all my work on CDs just in case. So far I've had nothing that I know of, but anything I get that I'm not expecting gets deleted. My other account runs a scan on everything so any virus that's there gets kicked out before it can be d/l. Catlin

The subject of the e-mails is one of the following: Re: Details Re: Approved Re: Re: My details Re: Thank you! Re: That movie Re: Wicked screensaver Re: Your application Thank you! Your details And the attachment will be one of the following files: application.zip details.zip document_9446.zip document_all.zip movie0045.zip thank_you.zip your_details.zip your_document.zip wicked_scr.zip These could be from someone you know because the bug filches outlook address books
