I'm considering to buy this facial animation app for a long time but I don't know if I can use the files that are generated for this app in Poser... It's says it just work for Maya and 3d Max but, can I export the facial animation from 3d max or Maya to Poser and use it in Poser / Daz Characters? Thanks Guys

I suppose it could eventually be adapted for use with Poser, but you'd need some way to translate the keyframe files into Poser's .pz2 format for use with a figure's existing morph targets. It almost certainly won't work as-is.

Daz characters are in a .obj files so when you export a morph target from poser and try it use the software with Maya then export back the morph target then it will works for sure.. mimic 2 support also the video options for nice expressions.. as I see you can Request Evaluation Copy of this and try before you buy.. the best solution

When I put my video inside this take over the voice, expressions and the head movement.. so exact what do the above software....

The video portion is for reference so that you can compare what Mimic is creating versus what the clip shows. With Mimic Pro, you have the option of using the sound portion of the video clip (.avi). Mimic doesn't analyze the video clip, only shows it. At $2,000, this is an expensive piece of software and there are other software and hardware packages out there. I definitely would get the evaluation copy. Have you looked at the others? What concerns me, is that if you can do this with just software and a video camera, why are there the expensive hardware solutions?

nah then I had just lucky day.. this take over exact the same movement and I wondering about.. now the magic is over.. spurlock5 thanks to take me back to the ground ;) let Daz make new update to support this option for real..LOL

LOL that's the thing tha intrigs me! there are some programs and hardware so much more expensive thant this one, and it seems so easy to use that makes a fine software, If it is that easy.. i think i'll go and get the demo first hehehe Thanks!

I tried the demo before and it works very well (if you email them, them will send you a demo). It shouldn't be that difficult to write a exporter for Poser (from max). But $2000 is alot for a one trick pony. I suppose if you were producing an animated series or developing a commercial game it might be worth the cost. -Mark
