Yes, it's the error message with obj and lwo files. But it happens when you import the file and then you cannot import it. Usually when you have a Lightwave 6 file, cause Bryce runs up to ... 5, I think. Doug, just in case, have you run the defragmenter and/or disk scan lately? Might be your drive is getting flaky. Cause when you Save, the file is saved in the same place, and when you Save As, it's saved in another. If the surface of the disk got damaged in the meantime, Save will try to save over the damaged place. Hope that's one of the problems mloates listed. Infinitely better than a flaky drive.

Kestrelrise: I only tried to save to my D drive, didn't think to try the C. Woodhurst: I'm not sure what you mean. When I was working on the image, I saved it along the way: untitled1, untitled2 etc. When done rendering, I saved it as a new name under SAVE AS. Yea, I'm glad I got the image. I wouldn't be writing this otherwise 'cause I would have smashed my comp lol... Erlik: I've run defrag within a day, but haven't run scandisk in awhile. I will try that and see what happens. I don't need a flaky drive :-( Catlin: No image textures were used, but the ridiculously huge resolution on the terrains might be the culprit. I appreciate the comment! Thanks for the replies, folks. Doug
I've had this.....didn't know why until mloates said long file names.....this is ringing some bells with me....

Anyone know what this error message means? I've never seen this one. I don't know if this has anything to do with it, but I used the Planetary Resolution option on the terrains.
Thanks,
Doug
