See I've seen hair on models before and thought oooh wow, turns out I actually have the hair just did't work it as well lol. Do you know what hair that Mike is sporting here?

Foxseelady ( ) posted Fri, 10 October 2003 at 7:28 PM

Oooh duh the whole page is linked lol I mean the Rogue Warriors hair, sorry bout that!

Sasha_Maurice ( ) posted Fri, 10 October 2003 at 7:57 PM

Humm..looks like painted hair to me.

rasputina ( ) posted Fri, 10 October 2003 at 8:11 PM

I agree, I think it may be painted.

pendarian ( ) posted Fri, 10 October 2003 at 11:34 PM

Yes, it's painted, I wish we had hair like that for Micheal....

I think this is the hair that comes with the ProjectZ outfit for M3 - not absolutely certain, but it looks like it.

Foxseelady ( ) posted Sat, 11 October 2003 at 12:02 AM

Wowee!!! Thanks for letting me know, now if only I had that kind of talent, it's perfect hair for Mike, too bad for me lol

I always thought that Rogue Warrior in the picture looks like an 80s Heavy Metal singer. :) bonni

Maybe I'm looking at something other than what I thought Foxeelady was referring. I thought it was the Rogue Warrior in this picture she was talking about. The Project Z hair looks like a short cropped style, this is long and flowing. Melanie

melanie ( ) posted Sat, 11 October 2003 at 10:52 AM

I think some of you were looking at the Rogue Archer, not the Rogue Warrior. Foxee Lady, is the Warrior what you were referring to, not the Archer? Melanie

pendarian ( ) posted Sat, 11 October 2003 at 10:54 AM

Melanie, that was the hair that I was looking at too...and on the new set also. She said Rogue Warrior so that would be it :) Pendy

Some of V3 hair with a bit of tweaking would give a similiar look! :)Danae Aeris hair for V2 and V3 used here on M3! :)

Sorry...I deleted my completely unrelated posts. I really need to get new glasses.

pendarian ( ) posted Sat, 11 October 2003 at 12:32 PM

It does give a similiar look, but for some reason still comes off a bit as "girl hair" I think. There is just something about the forehead fit and the waviness and the layering factor that I think that makes a difference.

oops... guess I need new glasses too ;-) the Rogue Warrior not the Rogue Archer - but I still think that the hair that comes with the ProjectZ is worth a look - very contemporary and masculine - I bought the model just for that hair. I don't much care for gurly-mahn hair :-O but the hair on the Rogue Warrior does look nice.

pendarian ( ) posted Sat, 11 October 2003 at 3:40 PM

Yeah, I think we need a nice long (with morphs to make it longer or morphs for ponytail) mostly one length hair, stick straight :). No layers...men usually didn't do layers....nice and simple with lots of gorgeous colors both real and fantasy :) That's my request and I'm sticking to it LOL!!! Wonder if we could talk Quarker into doing it? Or Danae?

Porthos ( ) posted Sat, 11 October 2003 at 3:54 PM

Perhaps placing a request in the Wishing Well forum might do the trick - I would definately buy it! :)

Looks like Foxsee was after longer hair. But for those interested in the ProjectZ hair check out this post. Cheers!

I used to watch Adrian Paul in Highlander just because Adrian Paul does something for me...we don't need to go into that...but there was a time when he French braided his hair and I can't tell you how that put me off. I don't know that there is such a thing as "girl" hair versus "boy" hair (I refuse to divide the world into girls and men, sorry), but that French braided hair didn't say "hero" hair to me. I was so glad when he went to a shorter cut. Guess it's hard to shake a stereotype. Quarker is no doubt capable of doing wonder long hair for a guy, I agree with that. I am looking forward to the release of the Club Z hair as a separate package...that is cool hair.

pendarian ( ) posted Sat, 11 October 2003 at 7:47 PM

dialyn, it's not so much "girl" vs "boy" but there are some subtle differences that make things seem "off" in art....and sometimes that subtly can make the difference between something that works and something that doesn't. Whether we like it or not, there are styling differences throughout history that separate the "girls" from the "boys" and it carried on through art, even now. So I guess the long layered styles say to me that it's more feminine then masculine, probably the same thing that put you off about the french braiding thing. :) And I don't think we'll be seeing any male heros in french twisted hair or big beehives (I could be wrong there too, but I sure hope not) LOL!!!...so there really is a difference between boy and girl hair. But I'm not here to argue with anyone, I would just like to see something like that made. Quarker would be good, so would Danae :)I can think of several others too. I think it's the layering concept that makes it look off...but who knows? Just my personal taste. Pendy

dialyn ( ) posted Sat, 11 October 2003 at 8:05 PM

I guess I wasn't really arguing, but really thinking what it is that makes us think something is feminine versus something that is masculine. To me, French braided hair seems feminine, though I couldn't say why. Layered hair doesn't say that to me, in particular. Most the long haired men I see are usually balding on top...but I don't see anyone seeking that as a look. Too much reality is not what anyone wants. Women with impossible figures and men with impossible hair...it's all a fantasy land. Yeah, I think there are several people who could do wonderful hair. And I'll probably buy it. ;) But I won't French braid it. :/

pendarian ( ) posted Sat, 11 October 2003 at 8:25 PM

LOL!!! I won't French braid it either....or put it in a bun....but I would pony tail it :) Isn't it funny, how different things speak differently to people? I guess that is what makes us all interesting :) Pendy

Foxseelady ( ) posted Sat, 11 October 2003 at 9:07 PM

Sorry to be so long stupid comp troubles lol Yes I was talking about the warriors long sexy hair ;)I never thought of asking on the other forum for a creator, but I'm going to second pendarians motion now! Does kind of look like a head banger do, but I'm an 80's kid so....what can I say Still love long hair!:) I do think the one lenght looks better, but the long woman do with some tweaking and post work to it hmmmmm never even thought of it, but that might work too! Men and womens hair styles have always had small differences to them, any style can be worn by either sex, but personally I think the small differences are what makes it look better on one sex as opposed to the other. But each person has his or her own style so I guess it's a matter of personal preferences ;) I'm loving this hair more and more each time I see it, so long and silky, oh I hope someone can do this! Thanks everyone, turns out at least I'm not the only one who likes men in long hair lol

Here's Project Z I copied the pic so I could have a finished ref as to what the suit should look like :-)

Why shouldn't speech be free? Very little of it is worth anything.

Jim Burton would do a wonderful job, too. I know he never does male hair, but I've used his San Francisco hair on my men and it works reasonably well. Maybe we could coax him to try a male long style one of these days. Melanie

Michael's Conforming Long Hair

Take a look at Michael's Conforming Long Hair at DAZ (can use a voucher for it also) - very nice and can do a pony tail.

melanie ( ) posted Sun, 12 October 2003 at 7:45 PM

I forgot about that one. I have it and it's a nice one. Melanie

Foxseelady ( ) posted Sun, 12 October 2003 at 8:55 PM

That one looks more back than loose and flowing, but again maybe a little post work. I have a long womans do, gonna give it a shot later I'll let you know if it works or not! Oh and if I remember it's all one length too.
