Hi Folks, Ronstuff pointed out that my marigold models had some reversed normals, and that P5 was adversly affected when rendering in firefly (I believe it only affected firefly renders...) Well, he was nice enough to offer some corrected geometries up in order to help folks get the most out of P5. If you downloaded the model from Poser Pros (it's been up since a week ago saturday), you should download the attached file. It's only 165K, so it should not take long even on a dial up. Simply extract the files on top of the others (using normal extraction technique...just allow it to replace the old files, though) If you haven't downloaded the model, it will be disappearing in a few days, so you should hurry up if you want it (you should check the readme to see if it has been updated...it will reference Ronstuff as a contributer and have a version of 1.1) This only affects P5 users. For those of us with P4 or PP, the reversed normals have no effect on the final render (from what I can tell) Thanks (and especially...thanks to Ronstuff) Eric

It renders beautifully in P4/PP. Very fine model, I love the leaf morphs. Thank you again, Eric.

Yes it is a greaat model and yes it does render fine in P4 and PP :-) because they render backfaces with normal shading, but you can see the difference in the preview window where backfaces are not shown. Its just good to have geometry that works in both P4 and P5 because some day people just might upgrade, and those who have P5 now DO appreciate it.

Thank you for the update. The marigolds are great, I noticed the shadows too late last night to see if displacement mapping would cure the problem but an update is even better. Much appreciated.

I wonder if DAZ Studio will be like P4 or P5 in this respect?

It also renders great in Vue, no problems whatsoever. But thanks for the updated file, Eric! :)
