I don't know...its a prop, so as is, pretty uneventful... no morphs or anything...it is what it is... you have to mess with the transparency...perhaps if you apply your own lace textures, etc to it ???? But the way the folds are, it always has that fold and crease down the middle...I'm sure someone can get it looking good...I'll play with it som more

Come now now it's a nice little freebie. All you have to do is make the minimum and maximum transparency the same at about 65%, bump up the transparency falloff a little and there you go, you'll see the face a little better. I personally don't use the supplied texture because it's only a solid square of black, better off just to give it a black color in the material window, saves on memory that way. Here is a render of Sara with it, I used one of my textures. The only thing I did was subdvide the mesh to get rid of the jaggies.

I still think that is is a silly freebee, with little to no use, but one out of 3 years worth is fine in my books LOL>

This veil was probably nade with a cloth simulation in some 3d software, the jaggies you see are because there aren't enough polygons to get a smooth mesh. Probably a trade off so that people with leaner machines could still use it. The original obj has 4096 polygons, I took that obj and subdivided the mesh up to 16384 polygons so I get a much smoother result, but my render time goes up. If you use the original, careful camera placement will probably help, and also when using the face camera put the focal lenght to around 200mm to get a better shot.

Great render Dominique! well, for those of us that can't subdivide the mesh, it might be a prop that doesn't get used...:>)

Not long ago there was a free copy of Cinema4d on a Computer arts magazine, there also are a few free programs out there that can easily subdivide the mesh for you.
