Someone discovered that if you add a new camera, a Focal length parameters dial appears. You can get the same results using one of the camera positioning tools, but that's one way to get an actual numerical focal length reading. SnowS

I do not speak as a representative of DAZ, I speak only as a long-time member here. Be nice (and quit lying about DAZ) and I'll be nice too.
OK. Just been playing with the added camera and I can't figure out how to get the depth-of-field to work. I DID have it switched on in the render options. I rendered a close-up through my balcony bars at DOE 360 (the default) and DOE 1. Identical renders. Not a smidgin of difference. BTW, you can't go to zero on DOE. The view goes weird. I'll try asking at DAZ. Maybe rob will be around. Another thing is that the 1st scene I tried, I got a camera list in the top left of the preview. Instead of Perspective, it switched to Aux camera. I opened the list, found my camera and selected it. But when I tried in a new scene, I got the normal camera list. No aux cam. Then I double-clicked a different content scene and DS crashed. LOL. mac
ARGH! Now I understand what's happening. Ther cameras I was seeing were imported from poser. I forgot that I had opened this scene fom a pz3, not built it from cr2s. So, I was getting all the cameras included in the pz3. None of them have parameters though. Only the one I created. And none of the normal DS cams have parameters at all. mac

Those of you who have only used single figures so far may not have noticed this as much as I have. Because I've been working in a large room (testing my own products), it's pretty obvious just how wide the default DS camera is. The top image is the camera default when you open any scene. Talk about wide! As an experienced photographer, I'd judge that to be around 10mm, which is pretty radical. The bottom image is with the dolly pulled out (towards me) and zoomed in, which changes it to a focal length of about 80mm. I have no idea of the exact settings, since there's no way to tell what focal length you're using. Hopefully this will be added at some point. Anyway, you'd do well to zoom in on your figure's face and use the zoom/dolly to get a more reasonable focal length before trying any major renders. mac PS This is an imported pz3, untouched, and complete with poser lights. NO changes whatsoever. Straight Open GL renders.
