Hi I'm trying to make a mannikin so that I can apply clothes from V3 or V2 via V3 to Steph3. I have Tailor and have worked through the first part of William the Bloody's thread from below. when I come to apply the morphs I have created I get the above which says target has the wrong number of vertices. can anyone help please Thanks Dave

You might have saved the chest with the collars and that is not what you do. If you are changing the breast size then it is the collars that you have to export and change and then use these as morph targets.

Hi no the thread from william t B below says to create morphs from each of the groups save them then re-apply them to a blank v3 which is what i've done I think. what I'm actualy trying to do is convert the v2 elf pricess from BVH so that I can use them for V3 or S3 Not having much succes though. thanks Dave

Hi Dave I think I was having that issue with the Tailor a while back. If I remember correctly, when I upgraded to Version 1.5 it fixed it. Could that be the problem? Hope it helps. Tim

Here's a link to Spike's tutorial by the way. I assume this is happening at Step 1 - number 8: "Load a Blank V3 and load each group's morph target that you just created." ? If so, the problem would lie in the morph target creation - either the spawning or the export. Did you check *only* the "as morph target" box? I must say, when I've made mannequins, I never bothered with having lots of groups; I just used the entire body with the target body applied to it as a morph. This is how Lord Nakagawa's V2 -> V3 mannequin works. The resulting mesh is all grouped as "hip" to keep The Tailor happy, I suppose. Better not deviate too far from the published method at this point, though.

FyreSpyrit has a couple of excellent tutorials and DAZ Arcana on making mannequins for tailor and Joint Parameter pose files to improve the fit. The mannequins are quick, simple and effective, essentially detailing EnglishBob's method.

You might have a look to see if they simplify things for you.
