Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Dec 10 5:41 pm)
The only way anyone can help you is: IF you show the picture. Do you know "HOW" many figure 1's, figure 2's, exist in our own files? I am sure that someone will recognize something.......but........if we don't know what we are looking for????????????? you won't get many replys.Show the pic.....and then, we have something to go on.
I think I understand what you're asking... you want to know which is which, but you already know what Vicky and Posette look like, right? I mean you know the difference, but you want to know which one is which within your scene file? Easiest way to find out is to select the body of "Figure 1", go to the Object Properties and uncheck "visible". So if Posette disappears, you know figure 1 is Posette. Then just repeat for all the figures. You can also rename them in the body section of the object properties as well, so you will know in future. But watch out, because if you are relying on cross talk, this could affect it, I think. Hope that helps :)

I think the question relates more to the generic names "Figure 1", "Figure 2", etc. Poser assigns these itself, more or less based on the order figures are loaded into the scene. If I'm not mistaken, Beos53 is trying to figure out which of the figures in the scene in Figure 1, and so on. The simplest method I can think of is to simply click on the figure and see which name shows up on the active figure label (on the lower left just under the window, at least on my setup). You can then select "body" from the list right beside it, go to the Object menu item, select Properties, and change the label to something more meaningful.
Thank you for all the replys. I reread my question this morning (and it was rather vague to me, to the point I really didn't know what I meant). I did want to know what geometry file the figure used (it was really late when I posted this question and I didn't think of the words geometry file) The closest answer to what I was hunting for was from xantor, I will open my pz3 file in a text editor. I just wish there was an easier way to do this in Poser. Thank you all again

I have searched and have not found any answer. I hope there is a good one. I created a picture a while back and saved it as a PZ3 file I was going through my CD's and found it again, Put into poser and it all came up fine. The props have names so I can find them again and use them in something else I also have 4 figures with just name Figure 1, Figure 2, etc. How can I figure out what figures these are Poser4 woman, vickey and which clothes? I hope you understood my question Thanks Beos53
