hey.. i was making something in Poser 5.. when i try to render with FireFly (draft or production, doesntmatter) it starts rendering but when its over i see only a black screen.. and if i try with Poser 4 renderer it works fine!! why is that? Right.. i can render with Poser 4 renderer but Firefly has more quality, right? so why doesnt that damn thing work here? =) thanks

When you say "It's over", is it actually over, or are yo assuming it is. When rendering in firefly the window can appear to be balck at first but the images will slowly appear in tiles, I know this is obvious but just in case, I thought I'd mention it :o) The other reason could be "Firefly" uses a lot more memory than poser4 mode, so it could be that the window apears for the actual render to start then your machine can't cope and effectivley gives up leaving you with a part rendered image, or a black picture. Again you may have alreay done this, but just get a primituve object, sphere is good, apply a texture and a bump map, then render in firefly. If it works, I would argue that the you a RAM deficiency, if it doesn't then the problem is indeed with poser or something within the scene you are trying to render is causing the image to fail. Hope this helps, probably wont LOL, but I tried :o) MaRv
