I've been really motivated this month, broken hearts and shattered dreams tend to drive me into productivity. Here's a quick render of my potential landscape scene entry... I didn't render it with the cool VanLippe clouds or the volumetric fog yet, that would increase the render time tenfold at least. All Bryce except forthe crystal, which is a 5x7x9x11x9x7x5x1 setup, simple 2D pict-based trees. The tower was modeled all in Bryce, just been sitting around in my library for some time now. Ths one might have too much postwork, just some KPT6 EQ and some FP Melancholytron to change the sky's balance a bit. It's the atmosphere I'm going for, anyway. Too much? Just enough? Any ideas, suggestions, or criticisms would be much appreciated! Thanks for popping in...!

1st impression........how about a flock of birds spiraling around the crystal's light....?

I can't quite place it...The sky & terrains are fantastic, atmosphere is perfect. Something about the main focus...the tower/beacon has a subtle structure yet it's terrain base does not match the rest of the terrains which are sharp & craggy. maybe roughen that surface a bit or give the tower some kind of extended supports like fins or legs.(more ominus?) does that make any sense? Just thinking out loud. my .02

great lotr like pic. maybe add a viking like ship and a jetty to add some intrest to the water part and some camp fires on the shore.

for some free stuff i made
and for almost daily fotos

Really cool work. Something about the way the base of the tower joins the land, could experiment in post of making this less regular... especially on the left end. Like the way you handle light and shadow. Nice one. best, hewsan

I've gotr problems with this too. I keep thinking I've seen this before. Maybe the crystal should be brighter.........

great start SDL, my only thoughts for improvement would go along with what the others have said about the tower (I assume the focal point). I think it should stand out more...either by making the beam/crystal brighter or the Tower just larger and more overpowering But I love this atmosphere and the POV excellent

If atmosphere is what you were looking for.... you sure have accomplished that. 8) I would have to agree with what has been said about the tower as well.... Wonderful start on a great image. Wade
