I have A:M 2K and have spent many hours trying to model from poser rotoscopes and such. I've gotten close, but it never seems to work quite right. There is a cool program called Creature Creator which will instantly create humanoids in quad polys so they should import into A:M, but only as 3ds. I've imported poser 3ds models into A:M but they turn into triangulated messes.

i thought about trying to remove the unnessecary lines of the 3ds poly model after importing, but i did not succeed yet did you try such? -Ede

I did try that but it seems brutally difficult with the hundreds of splines. Surely there has to be an easier way. One thing I'm playing with now which seems to get close is to use the rotoscope from the front, add a 15x15 or 20x20 grid, pull the splines to conform the grid to a face shape and use the magnet tool to pull out the nose, lips and brow. Then use a left rotoscope to stretch across the skull and connect loose splines from there. It's okay, but doesn't look as good as the original photo by any means. I really wish Hash would do a Creature Creator-type tool or stock their CD with poser-like realistic humanoids.

oh that would be cool well I'm still trying to remove most of the splines and get an easier model from the original poly thing... but it's starting to piss me off :) -Ede

3DCC has some AM models of Wonder Woman, Superman etc. Have you tried modifying those?
