Can anyone tell me if it matters whether you open the texture folder or save the whole folder in textures when a product is downloaded and installed. For instance some products when bought are extracted into poser automatically, and a folder appears for that product in the textures folder under the product name.Do I leave that folder as is? or do I open it and extract the contents under the product texture name? It seems to me some render ok and some have to be opened.Daz products for instance have a lot of folders in their texture folder from everyhing from clothes to character and prop textures.arrow1

As long as a texture is inside Runtime/textures poser will find it....it might only need to be in runtime actually but runtime/textures i'm sure of..so you can put them anywhere in there ...Steve

Arrow - Poser WILL find them, but it'll take it's own sweet time about it. If you really want to move the texture elsewhere, edit the relevant cr2/pp2 file, find the references to the texture and change the path (back up the original 1st!). On my system, if Poser can't find the texture where it expects it, it can take up to about 30 seconds for it to work out where it is... Cheers, Diolma

CorrectReference (found in free stuff)will batch correct all your Poser files (cr2,pz2,etc.)to the location of your textures. No need to hand edit your files as this does it for you. Run it on just one library at a time,as it does take several min. to do it's job. Once your done, you'll find all your textures will load faster. SWAMP

Takes several minutes?! Try HOURS! Oh yeah... Last time I ran a Correct Reference on my complete Pose library it took over 24 hours. Several times I thought the program had frozen but then it munched thru yet another file O.o It found a LOT of bad references. And this was even my DAZ folder :o/ where they SHOULD be ok and tested and all. But they weren't. And I'm not just counting the instances where CR wants to correct something like TrekkieGrrrl into trekkiegrrrl. (Howard if you read this, PLEASE make the "change all to lower case" optional in CR Pro)
