I have the Head Map and the Basic Body Map done. Face includes Lips and Ears. Body is Skin and Nipples but no Nails, Palm or Foot Wrinkles, and left the Knees and Elbows without wrinkles also. All that will be tailored to each model along with skin blemishes, moles, freckles, etc. Now this gives me a basic texture map that I can blend any skin tones or features I want for the individual model. Feedback on the skin textures please. I'd like to know if the skin looks porous enough, or too rough or too smooth? Thanks! Ooops! Forgot to tag it nudity!

This is looking good! What will you do about adding more textured feel to the lips?

that looks great to me d-larsen... as for the smoothness or roughness, i think as a base texture, its probably fine. bump mapping will/should be used to bring out those features. need a bump mapper? i got to thinking about it after your other post. i thought maybe a catchall bump map would be a good idea. one with the basic skin pores as a bump then as addons, lets say, mid-life bump like small wrinkles around the eyes, corner of the lips. and then aged, where it would be more defined and included neck, cheek, forehead and such... like you said, a base, ontop of which, a artist could map upgrade wrinkle transperancies over the original bump to custom make a wrinkled bump... OR add a mole bump or scar or whatever, mapped against the compliant diffuse texture with add-ons...

sorry should say complaint WITH the diffuse texture as an add-on

You got the right idea Twisted, that's where I was headed. Anyone who downloads the texture could simply open the jpeg in their favorite editting program and add their own trextures as new layers to change skin tone or add wrinkles, stretch marks, moles, etc. I started on a bump for the body this morning and had to go on site for a customer, but I'll do the face bump tonight and prep the package for posting. Freejack, I purposely left the lip texture very mild and colored only so you can add your own lip texture without having to fight a previous texture or remove the lips completely. This way you can overlay you own lip texture and let the highlights and color show through. All you have to do is reshape the lips the way you want and go! Thanks again for the comments and encouragement, evenly though I only got about 5 different responses, all were postive and that means there is a least 20 more people who will download it and not tell anyone they did! Let you know as soon as it's posted. Thanks again!
