Haven't tried any of the digital stuff - but I have played around with some of Ilford's metallic papers for traditional darkroom work. Neat effect - which wears off almost immediately (for me). I dunno - but to me, if you've got a good photo, it shouldn't need "special effects out of a can" - but that's the snob in me coming out :^)
Have done some digital prints onto metallic paper (Silver and Gold) in the past and they looked pretty good!.. just a couple of things to be aware of - 1) make sure you print on the correct side. I did'nt. The print looked great until I lifted the paper up and turned it into a multi-coloured waterfall. 2) It can be difficult if you intend to frame under glass or perspex. Make sure the print is completely dry and use a reasonably thick mount between it and the glass.
One other point, wear those gloves that are used for handling negs, as the metallic paper picks up fingerprints like crazy!!
Just my ten pence worth!!

I tried metallic card- and you are soooo right, the effect I have acheived with my monochrome digital images has been fantastic. I was curious if anyone else has printed digital photos onto metallic paper? I'd never even seen the stuff until I happened across it in a business supplies catalogue...and it's just the most amazing effect.
